Mi 25 attack helicopter gifted by India to Afghanistan reaches Kabul, 3 more to follow

Sri Lanka is no war zone and when it was, I dont think India opposed Chinese or Pakistani Involvement there. Situation in Afghan is different. If India does not help Afghanistan with a stable govt., the trouble might just cross the borders.
Hongkong isn't a war zone, either. But it is routine that US ships get resupplied there. It isn't a big deal for Chinese.

If I read the map correctly, there is no border between Afghanistan and India. Trouble spilling over would be more concerned by Pakistanis, not Indians, wouldn't it?

I cant source my opinions. Its just my POV
Thanks for clarifying it sir...Please add my POV too to your post...!
@nang2 Please put a source here where did Pakistan oppose this Mi24 TRANSFER??...It would be much appreciated...Thanks

Like all the other things you have said in Past, this is just your ASSUMPTION again being self declared intellectual...A stable Afghanistan is in interest of Pakistan...Pakistan never opposed the Afghan's government...Please keep your opinions to yourself and don't talk on behalf of Pakistan..!
Afghan president receives unexpected welcome in Pakistan - The Express Tribune

I would think Pakistan and Afghanistan should be naturally friendly to each other. They have the same religion, the same battle against Russian aggression in 80s. Both are in close relationship with US. etc, etc.

Well, according to the Indian Version of the Map. We do share a border with Afghanistan. A case of disputed territory.

Considering the reaction from India regarding Chinese submarine parked at Sri Lanka port, it is understandable. Just hope decision makers aren't so jumpy.
Ejaz Haider, a Lahore-based security analyst says "Because it will be seen as linking up with the steadily deteriorating relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan."

Afghan forces badly need air power to reverse gains by the Taliban and in particular helicopter gunships that have range as well as firepower. McDonnell Douglas MD 530 helicopters, which can be fitted with weapons, many Afghan officers prefer the bigger, sturdier Russian machines. 20 Brasilian-made Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucanos, aka A-29s, fixed-wing aircraft specifically designed for counter-insurgency operations are also comming, and talks with Russia for the MI-35 for n number of gunships. Afghanistan Airforce have experience with the Russian helicopters thus they prefer Russian helicopter with superior armour and firepower. Afghanistan Airforce pilots could get training from various countries like Russia, and India.

This is Indian source and that's enough said...!
I never read or heard anywhere in Pakistani media about any objection made by Pakistan, its none of Pakistan's business nor do we care about it nor it is any threat...These are just 4 helis, before them USSR and USA have used their best equipments against Talibans and Pakistan never object it..coz it's none of our business ...That's why I asked you to put a "Neutral" source coz I didn't find any in Pakistan's media...!

That is very good to know. :) I was casually inquiring for something I saw, which could be a misinterpretation in the beginning. Definitely not a serious accusation.

ohh it mean now indian they will kill taliban interesting story exposed here...
Idiotic thought. Who said operation a helicopter means killing and directly pushed the chopper in the war zone. Hopefully Indian technicians and pilots will help the Afghanistan to build up logistic and maintenance base, and Afghanistan pilots have operated both Mi-17 and Mi-25 for your kind information.

Whoa thats news me... Special forces you mean Garud.. that would be awesome.. Those guys are dangerous hunters.. The limited pics i have seen and heard makes me understand that they are black team for "wet" work specialists.

Not Garud. It's Army SF and SG elements. Active since 1999.

I think the deplyoment of some Jags to Farkhor would be very welcome

Air assets are In Tajikistan for quite a few years now. It's an open secret, oft told by Tajik trainees at NDA Kadakvasla too. Indian had been Northern Alliance supporter in Taliban days in all aspects including trading and logistics as also advisory. The same has increased not wound down.

There are helos deployed there but not fixed wing assets.

Garuds have been deployed alongside these Hinds for the Aghans.

Objections are not about 4 helis per say....it is very logical for Pakistan to be concerned and there are myriad of reasons...both from Pakistan/Indian perspectives....let me share Pakistan perspective...
- For long you guys have have accused us of creating trouble in Pakistan via our consulates in AF..right?? Now it is quiet obvious that if we have started supplied defense equipment to AF then that means our strategic relationship is getting stronger day by day...As a pakistani this is obviously something that will alarm them...anyhow here is an old link...
