Web Desk: The gorgeous Mewhish Hayat has on Monday confirmed the role of Benazir Bhutto in her upcoming movie.

In an interview with BBC Urdu, Hayat revealed that the biopic is "being written right now, it'll take some time, but I cannot wait to play [Benazir Bhutto]. I've been reading up about her and the more I read, the more I get inspired... The world needs to see her story."

"This is the story of a hero. Benazir Bhutto is a hero to me and I love that woman. Her story is so inspirational to me. It's important that this generation and the generations ahead see her contributions, her struggles and her progress. She was the first woman [to be] Prime Minister."

She went on to talk about portraying Bhutto, claiming the role to be a "complicated" and "difficult" one, calling the biopic itself, "a huge subject and a very complicated one."

And the most corrupt woman ever in Pakistan.
seriously this cult surrounding her is incredibly toxic. Unbelievable that over the years this fantasy about her persists.

If you look at all the ills of civilian governance in Pakistan it is rooted in her misdoings. Corruption as a culture was introduced during Benazir's tenure.

When we do remember her - there is nothing good to remember her by. Absolutely no achievements.

There is often a serious political / Social motive. You know the narrative :' A courageous woman who tried to save her people from the evils of Islam and a tyrranic military.'

Is this financed by the American 'democracy' foundation?

You may disagree with politics of PPP and bhutto but Benzir was very educated, confident and bold leader. She was well respected outside Pakistan and i don't remember any other Pakistani politicians who was as calm, fluent and confident as benazair was especially when visiting western countries and meeting western counterpart

Her eloquence, confidence and popularity is one thing; the damage she did to Pakistan is another.

Sadly we, because of our colonial mentality, are always looking for an approval from the West; as if any leader who is popular in the West becomes automatically good for us.

Our media has indulged in personality worship of the Bhuttos; as if they were infallible which is disgusting to say the least.
