@BDforever bhai's posted video supports my belief which I have posited many times in PDF, that Ayub Khan's military takeover, dissolution of parliament early on served several valuable objectives,
1. Saving feudal West Pakistani Zemindars and Jaigirdars from losing their feudal land holdings which Bengali rule (at least majority in parliament) threatened.
2. Concentrating power in Islamabad so people like Ayub Khan (ex British-educated agent) could keep buying unsustainable and expensive defense equipment like the Supermarine Attacker, for example. Graft Percentage (you see) was super important....36 were delivered in the wrong role, these were carrier based fighters but Pakistan bought them anyway in land-based interceptor role in 1951, enriching Ayub Khan's friends in the UK defense establishment. Predictably, these badly designed fighters became useless in less than half a decade. No matter, the generals (and Quaid-e-Millat Liaquat Bhai who was a zemindar too) got their cut anyhow. This looting continues unabated today. But the loot is getting thinner by the day...
