Tianyuechao’s data shows that Geely Technology Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, and Daimler Mobile Services, a subsidiary of Daimler Group, have jointly established a new company, Weixing Technology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 1.7 billion. Yuan Renminbi, each party holds 50% of the shares.

Mercedes-Benz and Geely are together. The joint venture company was formally established.
According to the information, the legal representative of Weixing Technology is the president of Geely Group Co., Ltd. and the chairman of Cao Cao Special Vehicle Liu Jinliang.

To put it simply, Cao Cao's future positioning is economical and green, and the joint venture with Daimler is going to do high-end travel. The two are not in conflict.

It is worth mentioning that in March this year, Geely Holding Group and Daimler Group formed a joint venture to jointly operate and promote the transformation of smart brand. This is the second in-depth cooperation between the two.

关于吉利和奔驰合资组建出行公司的消息已经流传了很久，日前该公司终于正式成立了。

天眼查给出的数据显示，浙江吉利控股集团旗下的吉利科技集团有限公司与戴姆勒集团旗下的戴姆勒移动服务公司共同合资组建新公司——蔚星科技有限公司，注册资本为17亿元人民币，双方各持股50%。

资料显示，蔚星科技法定代表人为吉利集团有限公司总裁、曹操专车董事长刘金良。

简单来说，曹操出行未来的定位是经济型出行、绿色出行，而与戴姆勒建立的合资公司则要做高端出行，二者并不冲突。

值得一提的是，今年3月份吉利控股集团和戴姆勒集团成立合资公司，联合运营和推动smart品牌转型，这是两家第二次深度合作。

随着合作的深入，吉利奔驰还会远吗？

I thought, after China changed the regulations and allowed foreign automakers to have independent business, foreign makers would prefer to go it alone with 100% ownership.

It seems business reality is different from political rhetoric on part of (especially US) foreign investors.

They still go for JVs.

In fact, it is now that foreign companies do not want to withdraw shares of the joint venture company for the following reasons:
1) Cooperation with Chinese state-owned enterprises can obtain huge invisible advantages, including bank preferential credit, powerful propaganda and promotion channels,etc. and it is easier to gain consumer trust;
2) Chinese consumers are beginning to believe more and more about China's self brands. On the one hand, the awareness of patriotic sentiments is improving. On the other hand, the quality of Chinese brands represented by Huawei is getting better and better. If foreign companies operate alone, they may be because of their own country's rogue behavior been implicated and resisted by Chinese consumers. For ex.Samsung is very powerful globally, but Chinese consumers just don't buy its products. Chinese consumers now feel that buying Samsung products is a shameful behavior.
