I like patriarchal societies but not imbalanced ones. In our pakistani society women are considered as possessions and commodities that men feel they own and they can dictate their terms to them. Thats the reason many paksitani women i know who live abroad are choosing to marry outside of pakistani communities.
having said that this fact should also be mentioned that in 50 pc of oppression cases against women it is another woman who pumps the guy to turn another womans life miserable.
