BTW, my Sony laptop remains cool as cucumber
Never had a heating issue with it, even if I use for 15-16 hours a day

Same here Zaki... I have been literally running my vaio non-stop for 12 hours a day since last 5 years ... never heats up and still going strong. Solid product.
On the other hand, my earlier laptops were Dell and HP and they all conked out after 2 years... plus they get heated up like crazy

Same issues with Apple's Mac, gets heated very quickly!

Dell laptops are the best provided they are used within reasonable limits , I can often browse the forum upto 5-6 hours on my dell, without heating it up much ...although I make use of a table .

The dell maintenance levels are minimal .

HP, HCL though get heated up real fast.
