Assalamoalaikum,

I don't know if this is the right section to post this.

I am an expat and have spent almost all my life abroad. Have visited Pakistan infrequently. I want to ask the people serving in Pakistan army of what do they think of how Pakistan should go about running its politics.

Should there be a parliamentary system? Or has it failed?

Is there a need to revoke 1973 constitution and turn to a Presidential system of governance?

Do you prefer a system like Turkey, where the army overseas the government?

ps: I am not here to argue or endorse any particular viewpoint.

Thanx guys.

Well in personal view

Just sometime back when i started understanding the complexities of the politics and all other fields related to the politics including policies.

I have felt that the Public mood in Pakistan is more for presidential form of Government.

I always feel that we must maintain the parliamentarian form but with a President from Armed forced that too with more powers.
as per our constituion artilce 52 B most of the governments were dissolved by the civilian presidents under the same article.
Further more on the request and meddling of Politicians every time Army had to intervene in politics so why not president be from the forces.
further more if not all the matters than Defence sector, weapons and Nuclear Programme, pluse all people related to the nuke programme should be under the army, while the civilian government official should be excluded from this section as these politicians are too much weak to keep the secrecy of the programme and for personnel powers and rule as we had seen in case of BB, they can go to any extent.
While on the other hand these were forces that today US also accept that it was far tooo much difficult for her to find the exact location of our nukes.

In short i guess we should have a Civilian-Martial type of Government as this how the behaviour of our politics here.

.
I hoped that some brothers from the armed forces would give their input on this.

.
They wont, i think they are also embarrassed what Mushy has done to ARMY and to the country, Army and politicians 2 cancers, Army became a cancer after 71 and politicians!!! from the birth of our mother land we got only one sincere leader at some extent, Why we cant produce leaders like Sir Mahatir Mohammad?

.
I think there is a need for change in the government structure. There definately is a need for it. We need to create a government structure which will fit into our policies our ways our ruling.. of course most of it should be based on the foundation of Pakistan centric policies.. for which it has been created.

.
Well, i am still waiting for our brothers in army to tell me what do they think.
