Sorry didn't see your post...Nope it is not apparent...Because it is not an ideology nor a cult.

I do not have a single living Islamic state as an example. THAT experiment is worth a try!

Am glad you realize that so do we. That is why WE do not vote for our mullahs...because they claim to be literate but they are stuck to their culture...Once that is separated than it can be considered Islam..This is why we want a written law which would be read and checked often by a ruling body- yes not 1 mad man ruling but a council- THAT is what Islamic law demands...Sultanates are not part of Islam either! - YES be shocked but they are not!

Yes, I know. Living in UK I realize it more. There are people who get pregnant at 16 and become tv stars (live shows) - THIS IS THE SECULAR MORAL.

There are robbers who can't be hurt in the process of you saving your house from being robbed otherwise you have to pay the robber compensation!- This is secular laws!

There are people sitting at home who are perfectly well yet do not work but the government feeds them- this is where the money is going in the secular system!

I mentioned all these before...please read my posts again...

I will tell you another thing,

This zealous approach to have Islam in public life or as a state ideology has failed for the past 65 years, you can try to do many number of things but whether they will materialise or not has to be seen- we dont even see a start.

The checks and balances will not stand for long as belief in many instances is deride of logic (if you believe logic to be unclear as of now), as a state one cannot rely on something which is illogical and hence should not be allowed in the public life. Human beings are bound to make mistakes, no law is perfect neither your Islamic laws nor the secular laws, however it needs to be as close to being fair as possible (which can only be achieved in terms of hard and cold logic not belief).

If you understand what I am saying then good, if not this discussion is leading no where as this discussion itself is based on belief.. thanks!

Yes it has failed. But it does not mean we stop trying...Do you lay on the ground after you trip and fall? No you get up, brush yourself and continue! That is all we are doing. But it is not happening as many do not even know what an Islamic state means and has to offer...

You want to give secularism a chance and we want to give Islam a chance :)

Where and who started this brushing ( metaphorical ) , I do not see. the present situation is not very promising. Not just for you guys but for others in relation to Pakistan.

You want to give secularism a chance and we want to give Islam a chance :)
And in that race the minority are suffering!

nhi baji mazak tha, lekin sach baat hai, aap UK walon ne hamari izzat lhak mein milane mein koi kasar nhi chhori :(( I went to UK, the airport staff were really rude to us
There are more "islamic" channels in UK than here in dubai :P

It's not just the minorities, the majority is suffering too. Pakistan is ruled by an incompetent & corrupt government, it's because of them that the country faces issues such as the energy crisis. Terrorist attacks kill average Muslims from all sects, that undoubtedly causes considerable suffering for the locals. Whether we choose to become an Islamic state or a secular state has still not been decided. Most people are going to prefer an Islamic state, & leave the secular state as a last resort.
