what is the lingua franca in Hyderabad? is it Urdu or Telgu?

My Engineering batch(back in end 90s) had 23 students from Andhra(Hyderabad,Khammam etc). some of them talks urdu along with telegu. most knows Hindi/urdu unlike other south Indians.

Both are used.

it means bavamaridi(brother in law) , just we use it as bad word ... but actually it isnt
