What's new

Meet the face of the New West, GUTS(Germany, United States, Turkey, Korea)

You have obviously misunderstood the whole idea. The reason Turkey and South Korea is considered bright countries with future is because they are developed countries with somewhat large populations while at the same time their growth rate is very high (even higher than India which is a developing country). While UK, France and Italy are losing influence and very bad growth rate (some even negative) Turkey, Germany and South Korea has healthy growth rates. It is interesting indeed.

US Ok.

Germany OK.

South Korea - Once For Sake We can Consider them .They got Hyuandai, LG, Samsung with Revenues of $100 Billion, Kia Motors, POSCO, KESPCO, STX, Daweoo with $10 Billion.

Turkey - Does Turkey even have a Fortune 500 Company to Speak of? Any Brands? Any Heavy Industry, Shipbuilding, Automobile to Speak off? Turkey is Only a Second - Tier Nation. You Hardly Make a Covertte and Comparing with India.

Sorry, Turkey is not a developed country, it's at best an emerging country, SKorea is still considered as a NIC. Only the USA and Germany are fully developed country.

GUTS :yahoo:

I propose a new economic group compromising of countries with high economic growth.

Turkey with 9.0%+ growth, Indonesia with its flagging but still impressive 6.0%+ growth, Turkmenistan with its 9.0%+ growth over the last few years and Sri Lanka with its high annual growth. :chilli:

While we are at it, I would like to announce the creation of an economic group consisting of Muslim countries with economic potential.

Pakistan, Egypt, Nigeria, Iran and Syria. :woot:

Things can only go up for these countries.

South Korea ranks pretty high in the HDI index for the past five years, along with a 1 trillion GDP.

How is it not developed??

GUTS? Whao!! Talk about hardcore naming
It takes a GUTS to stand up against the Bully and defend the budding democracies in Asia.

Just as Korea will spread democracy in Asia, Turkey too has an obligation to spread democracy and secularism in Islamic world.

You should be worried that a major US think tank like Brookings Institute passed on Japan as the face of the West in this century, and name Korea instead.
