Meet Pakistan's own Rocket Launcher

Actually MLRS is good and doesn't have to be a disaster of civilians either.

the guided MLRS are quite precise

Yeah but he was talking BM-21 aka KRL 122 Multiple Rocket Launcher it is not quite precise as it was first introduced in 1964 pakistan has 40 of these and India has 150 BM-21s but we are retiring them as we induct Pinaka

.
MBRL pictures were posted on KRL web page a long time ago but eventually they were removed for unknown reasons.

anyway disappointing thread Mods please Close it.
And posters for God sake confirm it before you post Anything ..do not post useless junk boxes.
Thanks.

Azad is yet again shooting away with great enthusiasm but hasnt researched that much ;) (at least he has the spirit) >> though in future, please do your homework, that goes for all members.

Here's some of what I have found
=====================

described as:

lighter 36-round version, mounted on a six-by-six ZIL-131 chassis.

3) What does the KRL's look like:

Here you can see the KRL 30 x 122mm MBRL.

4) KRL 30 x 122mm MBRL (Ghazab / Azar) specs:

a) KRL 122 - Kahuta Research Laboratories from Pakistan have developed a rocket launcher that is very similar to the North-Korean BM-11. The KRL 122 was originally based on an Isuzu truck but later models use the Reo M35 truck. Some sources mention the designator Gadab or Azar. Except for the original Soviet rockets, the "Yarmuk" developed by Pakistan Ordnance Factories can be launched.

b) The Dr A Q Khan Research Laboratories multiple rocket launcher assembly has two groups of 122.4 mm calibre, 3.1 m long stainless steel rocket tubes arranged in three lines of five and mounted on a cradle. The assembly can either be vehicle mounted (for example, on an M35 series (6 x 6) truck or trailer mounted for towing.

The firing mechanism is an electric type which can either be operated from a fire-control box provided in the vehicle's cabin or from a sheltered position at a distance of some 50 to 60 m from the launcher using a remote-control device connected to the launcher by cable. The rockets can be launched singularly or in salvo. Traverse of the assembly is 180° with elevation limits being 0 to 55°. The latter can be either electrically or manually controlled.

The rockets are of the standard 122 mm Grad fin-stabilised type and are produced by the Pakistan Ordnance Factories. Maximum range of the system is 20,380 metres.

Guy's really lets have the real pic & info of wat we have .. rather then some playing like little children and others having ego issues thx ..

.
The BM-21 GRAD was very good for her time. Let us not forget that these where designed in the 60ties.

Like everything technology is evolving and better products appear. Nowadays MLRS rockets can be fired much more precisely because of ballisitic impact computers (Turkish MLRS have Aselsan BAIKS computers) and the even more precise ones are the GMLRS (guided MLRS)

But future of these ballistic missiles lies there like China is using it IMO.
China is developping the ASBM (Anti Ship Ballistic Missile) that could hit enemy ships at ranges like 1500km

.
welll seems like ghazab is tooo old and can we see them on this 23rd march parade

I think our friend in shear anxiety and eagerness Posted these .... One can understand the feelings. Hope he understands the mistake. It would be nice if it were true. Regards:pakistan:

. .
what is its range and rate of fire???

yaar theres nothing new bout it..its a copy of Russian BM-21 grad MBRL...the system is copied and manufactured in many countries under a local name and the most widely used MBRLs in the world...The Indian army has a big arsenal of BM-21 grads and is replacing its original Russian grads with Pinaka and smerch MBRLs both of which have long range and upgraded rockets and excellent accuracy..:cheers:
