Sadly 'burqa culture' is also creeping into Kerala-partly due to the 'Gulf Connections' and partly due to the efforts by radical Muslim parties like PDP and Popular Front. Below is one such example:

From the news source
In her petition, Rayana R Kazi has named one Muhammed Kavugoli as the respondent, a man who claims to be an activist of the Popular Front of India (PFI), the fundamentalist Muslim body which allegedly chopped off a Christian teacher’s hand last month. Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan has accused the PFI of attempting to turn Kerala into a “Muslim country” in the next 20 years.

I will let Malcolm X reply to that statement, going by your name it is relevant to you.

"There was two kind of slaves. There was the house negro and the field negro. The house negro, they lived in the house, with master. They dressed pretty good. They ate good, cause they ate his food, what he left. They lived in the attic or the basement, but still they lived near their master, and they loved their master, more than their master loved himself. They would give their life to save their masters house quicker than their master would. The house negro, if the master said "we got a good house here" the house negro say "yeah, we got a good house here". Whenever the master would said we, he'd say we. That's how you can tell a house negro. If the master's house caught on fire, the house negro would fight harder to put the blaze out than the master would. If the master got sick, the house negro would say "What's the matter, boss, we sick?" We sick! He identified himself with his master, more than the master identified with himself. And if you came to the house negro and said "Let's run away, Let's escape, Let's separate" the house negro would look at you and say "Man, you crazy. What you mean separate? Where is there a better house than this? Where can I wear better clothes than this? Where can I eat better food than this?" There was that house negro. In those days, he was called a house nigger. And that's what we call him today, because we still got some house niggers runnin around here. This modern house negro loves his master. He wants to live near him. He'll pay three times as much as the house is worth just to live near his master, and then brag about "I'm the only negro out here. I'm the only one on my job. I'm the only one in this school." "You're nothing but a house negro. And if someone come to you right now and say "Let's separate.", you say the same thing that the house negro said on the plantation.

Your story about the African-American and your implied logic on my condition would have been partly valid about 60 years ago in America and 20 years ago in India respectively. The only slaves of THE "negro" (Obama) in the current scenario are your guys living in Pakistan (you of course prefer your master's house)! And No your story is not at all relevant to me or any Indian Muslim! I thank Allah for giving my grandparents enough courage to stay back in India during partition..I am happy to be living in a secular country and in a state whose rulers were ideologically Atheists instead of brainwashed fanatics from either religion where each and every citizen has equal rights irrespective of their beliefs.
..Going by your location, whatever happened to your own house?you seem to love your master's house more than yours 'house nigger' :)

Its meant to be taken in a metaphorical sense.

Fact is you will always be a 'house nigger' however much you want to sugarcoat it. You are a minority in the country and looked down upon, your grandparents stayed out of fear like the 'house nigger', not courage.

Aamna the reality is I am the majority in my homeland, you are not and you will never know what it feels like to be that.

I highly recommend you read Malcom X, it will enlighten you.

My parents decided to leave India along with their grandparents during the partition because my grandad fought for the Indians against the British and when he came back the Indians destroyed all his grounds. Equal rights my a** .
