Ok i have a question to ask. As i still cant setup thread anywhere.
Without getting too technical.
If an aircraft takes off at a steeper and sharp angle, i think take off angle would always be shallower ,its the climb angle that would count,am i right? , ok so what is the advantage of a steep angle takeoff? I just want to know.
As in how it effects the flight?
Hey i was watching the video of c17 globemaster ,alaska crash in 2010. It was so sad and sorry to watch. i didnt read the reasons behind the crash but i just felt it was the sharp take off angle that caused it?
I was just curious so started the thread. I honestly have a bad habbit of asking too many questions.

If you notice in that video, the plane makes a very sharp turn immediately after takeoff. That's what caused the crash in that case.

An aircraft stays in the air because the wings push air beneath them directly towards earth cancelling the aircraft's weight due to gravity. When an aircraft turns/banks/rolls, now the wings are not pushing all of the air directly towards earth in the direction of gravity, this means the amount of lift produced by the wings is now reduced. The more you turn the plane, the lesser lift it will produce. Also, speed increases lift as well. Also, air density makes a difference in amount of lift produced (at higher altitudes you need more wing area or speed or angle to produce as much lift as at lower altitudes).

You need to accelerate a mass equal to the mass of aircraft at the rate of gravity to keep an object airborne (remember newton's laws ?). At higher altitudes, the density of air decreases. That means for a certain mass of air, it has much greater volume. So to push the same mass of air, you need to push a larger volume of air. Which can be done either by increasing aircraft speed, increasing pitch/attitude of aircraft or by increasing wing area.

note: the altitude thing is just for your info, that was not the cause of the crash. Cause of crash was sharp turning at slow speed and low altitude which caused it to stall.

Every aircraft has a maximum rate of climb (in still air) and no aircraft climbing at its maximum rate will crash because of that.

The plane in video is a twin engine. Twin engines are always "overpowered" compared to 4 engine planes. The reason is that due to regulations a plane has to be able to fly even after one engine fails. I joined the forum on april1, and from april 1 uptil june 17 i have been given 3 bans. All cz of indians.

The first one cuz some indian loser harassed me like they do, so i said cussword over which the mod banned me.And i got a warning for that too. No regret for how ihad reacted. What he had said was too shameless. But then coming from indian anything shud be expected.

Second ihad accumalated 3 warnings. 3rd warning automatically gave the ban.

3rd ban was lifted just few days back and i am not sure why it came. Most likely cuz of shan e ibrahim , this thread,ihad reported his posts , instead i earned a ban. Yes i reacted strongly cuz ihad seen enough his bs on the forum and really wanted him out of my thread.
