Are all Indians protesting? Most people you see there are some Sikhs and Haryanvi. Where are the Tamils, Andhra, Bengali, Bihari, UPites, Kannadigas, Maratha. More than half of Indians are employed in Agriculture and you're saying this is it? I'm not going to explain farm laws for the umpteenth time, read it from anywhere you like.
You don't get it , do you?
(
For your information I don't support the "farmers protest" which represents the most reactionary, parochial and retrograde mind set in the subcontinent. A similar protest in my own nation would have met my downright condemnation. It is however enjoyable to watch our mortal enemy's discomfort from a distance ).
So you don't get it ...
The protest has nothing to do with farm laws, but the move to change the entire culture from hereditary family based farming culture to an industrial market based competitive culture.
This will change the rural culture of India, and indeed the entire social structure of the majority of the population, shattering the caste and religious insularities of rural communities forever.
Bringing market economics and making regions compete for the lowest prices for agricultural products by efficient modern co-op agriculture ( which like in countries like the USA is now managed by corporations like Cargill) is the best way to go.
The "family farm" is now history in the USA.
Leased coopted land managed by efficient grain corporations that control the product from the seed to the cornflakes I put in my breakfast cereal bowl is the best way. Obviously society will change with education and better awareness.
Look at the all the tractors farmers use now . So much better than bullocks and wooden plows, ( we won't discuss what will happen to the bulls
).
So the Jats and Sikhs are in the forefront because they are educated enough to know they are the last generation of the Tau jis. The rest of the cow belt ( Bihar UP ) is too illiterate to understand that it is affected, and will go with whatever " Mor Baba" says. In any case the present agricultural productivity of the cow belt is too low for agricultural products trading firms to be of any interest.
There is a reason why Tamil, Kannada and Andhra " farmers" are not protesting because they are more educated than the Jats and Sikhs, and have a "if you can't beat them join them" attitude, So it is
they who will lead India's rural transformation and it is they who will join the market based competition for agricultural products, and give the Punjab Haryana belt a run for the money,
The private sector food corporations will buy the food from where it is cheapest.
Even import it if necessary.
If the Tauji from Haryana doesn't like it then too bad.
Red Fort is a national symbol where only one flag should fly, Tricolour.
It's that obvious, lol nobody should be asking what's wrong with it.
Didn't answer my questions.
1. Why does the " national symbol " have a mosque inside ?
2. Why does the tricolor have to be a copy of one party's flag ?
For the record our national symbol:
Minar e Pakistan has no religious structure inside.
Our flag was not the flag of any political party.
