At least I see two of them calmly standing there it seems nothing happened.
Never been that area though I live in Tianjin and it seems nothing happened.

There were firefighters and police fighting the fire that caused this explosion... given the size of it, any of them at the scene died instantly from the shockwave alone.

RIP ! That's a very big explosion ... maybe 400~500x casualties, equal to 21-ton TNT.

China blasts: Shipment explodes in Tianjin port - BBC News

A massive explosion has hit China's northern port city of Tianjin, reportedly injuring many people.

According to Chinese state media, the explosion occurred when a shipment of explosives blew up at about 23:30 (16:30 GMT).

Pictures and video shared on social media showed flames lighting up the sky and damage to nearby buildings.

Latest reports in state media suggest that hundreds of people have been taken to hospital.

Xinhua news agency said a fire started by the explosion was "under control" but said two firefighters were missing.

Shockwaves from the blast could apparently be felt several kilometres away from Tianjin.

Ms Yang, an eyewitness, told local media she was out shopping when "suddenly from behind there was a big fireball and explosion".

"At the time of the explosion the ground was shaking fiercely, nearby cars and buildings were shaking, a few buildings' glass all broke and everyone started to run," she said.

"Now all the residents are gathered in the street."

China National Radio said cracks were visible in buildings near the site of the blast.

Several tower blocks near the port area are without power, reported the Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.

Tianjin is a major port and industrial area to the south-east of the Chinese capital, Beijing, and home to 7.5 million people.

It must be terror attack
Alternatively seen it explained as chemical explosion and munitions explosion... not clear yet that I know of.

:edit: seen no mention of terrorism.

holy shit its like a mini nuke exploded

Apparently the blast was bigger than the smallest 'suitcase nuke' built by the US!

Smoke rises over damaged containers and cars after a huge explosion rocked the port city of Tianjin, August 13, 2015.

Thousands of vehicles in a logistics park were destroyed during huge explosions late on Wednesday in the northern Chinese port city of Tianjin.

The automobile logistics center, located near Tianjin port, the largest in Northern China, offers temporary parking after cars arrive at the port and wait for pickup.

@waz Can any mod ban these Indian bots from this thread? They contribute nothing but mock the victim, dignity of a nation on a sad tragedy in our country.
Never been serious toward Indian unless they made the explosion.
