Massive Ambush in S. Waziristan

these are pro Afghan twitter accounts and if you take a look at their previous tweets you will not bother to even reply at this thread .... and please without authentication stop boiling your blood ... as these type of twitter accounts wasted lot of internet bandwidth just to prove Panjshir has not fallen but truth was otherwise
It's true
We lost 7 men
Nothing about this is fake

. .
same fassadi crocodiles were weeping here when FC had access to American drone coverage. once there was a village in which every house was connected with tunnels. if you raided one house the terrorists would either vanish in to the next one. or would come out behind you. until air strikes were called in. the tunnels were so strong and deep that many 500lb bombs had to be used to dislodge the terrorists secreted in them.

same filth who objected to that is now often times seen here advocating the use of NASR on waziristan, blochistan (you name it, they are ready to nuke it).

nett conclusion is that the scum is dissatisfied either way. aim seems to be defame the forces one way or the other.
Unlike Bajaur these Waziristanis are very pro TTP. Need to declare a war in these two areas till locals stop being swines
Bajour? that bajour which had tunnels dug under their homes to aid and secrete the terrorists up until 2008?

As @PanzerKiel has already explained that this was no ambush but something of chase, hunt and destroy action.....but yea let's highlight and give coverage to every motor mouth rather than sticking with the official version.
Anyways he is not saying it's an ambush in that statement simply quoting the military saying its an IBO, you just seem to have comprehension issues. Take a break and come with a fresh mind :-)

Absolutely flawed leadership by the men in uniform
Incompetence at its peak
It seems as if our soldiers are somewhat expendable
I think losing men has become sorta norm in GHQ
No accountability.....No Heads being rolled
20 years in & we still can't come up with a viable plan to curtail this terrorism
Young men still being sent into death traps
It's time we strap the men in charge to a tin can Toyota & send them into these war zones for the situation to change on the ground

. .
Losing 7 men to 5 scumbags that too under IBO raises serious question about the level of intelligence and whether or not it was compromised.

IIRC VPNs are somewhat easy to trace, especially in Pakistan where they are banned. You stand out against the vast sea of regular connections which makes it easy to track you down.
Could be, but then again do we have such capabilities in SWD and NWD? Furthermore a person could easily cross the border and upload the multimedia from there.
Those were dark times.
RIP to those who died.

Some IS members were killed in an IBO when there Telegram group was hacked into ,it was a very famous incident .
I do remember such an incident, however it was with a website which claimed to not store user data for video uploads, which ultimately was breached (read: willingly gave away data for money, or was a front for an international spy agency) and IP of the users was compromised.
Actually, Tor is unsafe. A few years ago, FBI used it to arrest a child molester. Anyways, the point is that we should invest in this area.
Yeah but that wasn't through tracing the IP I think, maybe I'm wrong.

^case-in-point^ filth is always blaming the forces instead of the terrorists. just like that fat chor pandit "it is not all the ranks I'm against, just the top leadership" despicable bastages!

what the tax-dodging bijli and gas chor filth of the PDF do not seem to understand is that Pakistan is not NATO with endless resources.

It is not that easy. Systems used for such purposes use methods to hide themselves. It is a cat and mouse.

This issue was raised back in 1998. At that point we had idiots running key positions that made these decisions. They often gave dumb retorts like our system is "hack proof" we run our own fibre network for comms. When you have such duffers running critical areas for 3 years stints and then move on - you'll never be able institutionalize the level of excellence required. Add to this resource limitation and prioritization - and you get small pockets of capabilities, OTS purchasing, script kiddies (website defacing), old HW crypto for comms, compromised Foreign Embassy comms through outdated HW crypto system (thanks to NRTC), and other things that will make you grab your head in disbelief at the idiocy.

And finally there is an institutional tug and war, on who owns this domain. That dilutes the effort, in an area where deep expertise over time is required. Result - is BS capability, and idiots who will say "Sir we stopped the hack, we pulled the system offline when we first found out" - chapter closed. (major GHQ breach likely from Israelis).

My advice is and has been (for over 2 decades): Create a joint command structure under the CJCS - bring all branches together with Intel (MI, ISI - not IB). IB is swiss cheese. Have a non-uniformed DG (someone with deep knowledge and skills), alongwith an operational DG that is uniformed. One builds capabilities and one applies. And my vote to start off with would be a DG from the PAF, as I find them more attuned to these sort of threats. Though DG positions should be rotational. Also DG slots should be for 6 years not 3.
Agreed with the last part, you can't fight an unconventional war conventionally. But the thing is, having a consortium of intel agencies sharing information means that if one is leaked, all are jeopardized.
And from today's incident, it seems someone leaked inside information, willingly or unwittingly.
AFAIK it was an IBO but the insiders/ informants compromised OPSEC and the militants knew we were coming...
Btw the jawans were of 4Cav, but what was an armoured regt doing in SW conducting IBOs. @PanzerKiel
Exactly why we need UCAVs for surveillance/strike prior to troops reaching the area.

And from today's incident, it seems someone leaked inside information, willingly or unwittingly.
Although, it could be that the convoy of troops was detected by local facilitators/ other terrorist cells on the lookout, who then alerted the main group.

I keep repeating Bajwa is a complete disaster like Kiyani, probably bigger disaster than Kiyani.

1- Kiyani had the audacity to negotiate NRO as DG ISI with the corrupt thugs like Nawaz and Benazir. Who gave him that authority!!
2- He then planned and carried out massive election fraud first to give PPP their bari and then to PMLN. His plan was to get rid of PPP at the first place and then PMLN will stay for long period through very massive and comprehensive network for rigging. PMLN still benefiting from that elaborate system of rigging. Including fake voters lists , which include dead people, etc.
3- Raheel gave NRO to Maryam by taking her name out of "Dawn Leak". Through it Pakistan Army effectively has given PMLN card to abuse PA. A service they are doing due diligently ever since.

4- Biggest blunder and treachery of them all was to be part and planner of the OBL drama. When COAS of your country plans with the enemies and those who loot the country, provide them NROs, then you should kiss your respect around the world goodbye.

Bajwa, on the other hand is taken hit after hit by the terrorists and from India without responding in kind.
Even when they decided to react in Feb 2019, it was a restrain response, let so many of IAF planes go unpunished despite in range and locked on.
With such attitude, do you blame USA and Europe to keep saying "Do More"!!
World only respect those who respect themselves and take pride in their country.

So now you are going to teach us English as well....oh well, it must be the silly season :D.....let me spell it out for you.....while the random tweet you posted as you often do, claimed it was an ambush, the gentleman i quoted negated that and explained the scenario as an ongoing operation and most of our casualties occurred during running battles... anyways whatever and however, we lost seven brave men which is all that matters at the end of the day.
Dear.. First, it wasn't an attack on a military convoy having Toyota hiluxes.... An operation was already going on.... These terrorists opened fire first and then ran away... This then turned into a hot pursuit operation whereby the terrorists were followed.... It was a running gunfight, since our soldiers were running after them without any cover, that's why they suffered casualties... Terrorists also suffered casualties which will be confirmed shortly once all of them are rounded up... Dead or alive.

Most of the terrorist involved are the resident of Pakistan. So cross border infiltration is not the root cause of these terrorist activities.

However, Afghan border is being used for supply of arms and other support. Since Tajik-Afghan border is porous, possibility of transferring the supplies from Tajikistan via Afghanistan to Pakistani terrorist CP cannot be ruled out. Recent interception of such supply truck could be one of the those transfers.

Though Talibans are taking measures to curb such activities, but Pakistan cannot fully depend on them. All entry gates for incoming traffic must be thoroughly checked by trained staff and dogs (sniffers). Supplies can also be routed through Iran borders, therefore a similar activities should be implemented on the entry gates of Iranian borders.

Minimising or eliminating the availability of these supplies will adversely effect in-country terrorist activities.

The root cause of individuals joining TTP or ISKP is religious motivation (religious brain wash) being carried out by so called Madaras scholars. Almost all of these madaras are under influence of Fazlur Rehman. We already saw some light demonstrations of Pakistani talibs during opposition jalsas. GoP and Armed forces must act together involving renown and sensible Deoband scholars from Karachi, Punjab, KPK and Baluchistan to neutralise this arising.

Hatred for PA is the aftermath of Pakistan joining US and its allies resulting in lot of innocent casualties as collateral sacrifice on the Pakistani soil. In my opinion, PA chief should apologise and ask for forgiveness from the Pakistani nation and specially from those who lost their loved ones in the name of eliminating terrorists during the 20 years of Afghan war.
