I m being under lockdown right now, half of my friends and family in Beijing currently are also under certain types of lockdowns, it's never been this bad before.

Same as China one child policy. Look at India over populated population. Do u know India unemployment rate is very high compare to China. They have slum everywhere. The lower birth rate during those period helps China to avoid lot of social unrest and overpressure on government responsible to take care of such huge population.

Policy is ever changing according to situation. Just becos China lifted one child policy doesn't means the past action is wrong. You don't take things for granted just becos bad things or unrest due to overpopulation never happened...

3 days, tomorrow I should be free. this is my second lockdown in less than a month. the build where my office is in also experiences lockdowns off and on for 3 years, normal business can never be conducted properly.

China should be compared to other East Asian countries like Korea or Japan or Taiwan, they developed without a draconian birth control policy and their birth rates naturally declined. Stop using false comparisons.

I know, I personally know many. but this time is different, the lockdowns really hurt everyone's normal life personally, now people just want to be able to put the food on the table for their families, they are not seeking a regime change.

Another CIA work. Police should record these sobs and make an investigation. I do understand people's dissatisfaction to the zero covid policy. But all those who used Urmqi fire as an excuse must be connected with CIA money.
