Their leaders are indeed from a certian region of Pakistan but these parties are Pakistan's political parties. We should not vote on the basis of ethnicity of the leaders but rather objectively on performance, governance, honesty, corruption.

ANP, JUI, MQM are indeed ethnic parties. But they never made it to the central government. Now PPP, PTI and PML have governed in the center or in the provinces. We have seen their performance, all we have to do is objectively decide which party to vote based on their performance, foreign, internal, refugee, export, accountability and security policies. Rather than ethnicity or regions from which their leaders are coming from.

Mostly agree, in the current scenario I am willing to give benefit of the doubt to PTI because all the other parties have been tried and tested, if another political party arises at national level not ethnic based like MQM, I will also vote for that party.

You are talking to hindko who's region have always voted for Nawaz Sharif, even in Musharraf era. In punjab people change parties loyalty like tissue paper and electable always bet on winning horse. But Hindkos are one loyal to the end, when N league used to march on Islamabad from NWFP in Musharraf era must of their supporters were from Hazara. N league couldn't even gather much support in punjab back then. Though that changed after Chaudhry Iftikar was removed by Musharaf. Even then N league needed PPP/Independts support to form gov in punjab. But 2013 saw sea change, N league for the first time rooted out every other party in punjab.
