But there are many other laws, which strictly prohibit maligning judiciary and armed forces of Pakistan, in public. I think that the owners of the channels stop such interviews and press briefings, in view of these laws and the consequences. It has nothing to do with her so called conviction.

I believe the Sentence (punishment) has been suspended, not the Conviction.

No. I am sorry, I don't have that. I am relying upon my memory of the news, which appeared at that time. The reported news was that the judgement has been suspended. Then this case also came to SCOP.

In continuation of my post # 86, I am of the view, that, whether a person is convict or not, he is not permitted by our law to malign and bring to disrepute judiciary and armed forces of Pakistan, in public. So, accordingly, TV channels are following the direction of the PEMRA and possibly that is why the interview of Maryam Tweetni was not aired.
