Maryam Nawaz declared beneficial owner of two offshore companies in Panama Papers: Judge

When the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) legal team on Thursday apparently failed in pleading its case against the Sharif family, a judge pointed towards two documents present in its own petition that implicate the premier’s daughter Mariam Safdar as ’ultimate beneficial owner’ of offshore companies as revealed by the Panama Papers.



A huge collection of classified documents leaked from Panama-based firm, Mossack Fonseca, in April this year, the Panama Papers revealed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s three scions owned offshorecompanies in international tax havens.

So now we can officially ascertain that poor Maryam is not eligible for 'zakat' contrary to my earlier assumption that she is poor and has not got a single accomodation of her own as per her own statements. I really thought we should collect Zakat for such a poor lady or try to buy her a sewing machine may be it would have been helpful to make her independent again. Poor Safdar could also work in a factory if his Father in Law is not offering him a good job

We have investigative agencies whose task is to verify and attest photocopies.

But those institutions are non-functional as noted by SC yesterday.

So court can ascertain a way to write to the relevant authorities to validate the authenticity of these documents. Simple.

U dont understand ... its an email between 2 persons which was hacked and leaked... both of them will not confirm or testify as they are bound by confidentiality laws of company they worked for in panama and british virgin islands..
Leak it self us an illegal hack on company servers... cannot be taken as evidence.... fruit of a poisinous tree

I don't know if this story is true because I've heard from our Abbotabad family friends. The story goes that Safdar used to be driver of Sharif family and Maryam eloped with him. And now Safdar is MNA of Abbotabad on N ticket. lol

After reading her declarations I thought that she should sit outside any masjid after every prayer with a beggars bowl (her father has many) to get some alms otherwise I wonder how would she survive..People in Pakistan are really kind hearted and will give her enough charity that she can eat two time a day and to double her family income her husband should join her too..

But now it looks like our beggars have become rich through begging over years...But unfortunately, they have mainly been stealing and robbing in addition to begging and for that they should be punished.
