Avenfield case: NAB get new documents from London

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) got new documents from London which state that the Sharif family's London apartments were transferred to the possession of offshore companies Nielson and Nescoll in 1993-1995.

The Avenfield properties were transferred to the offshore companies when both Hussain Nawaz and Hasan Nawaz were young and did not have any source of income, observed by NAB.

Thus, they cannot be considered owners of the properties Ex Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was the real owner.

The Avenfield properties reference is among three cases filed against Nawaz and his family by NAB in 2017 on the Supreme Court's directives.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif has repeatedly denied all the allegations against him and his family saying that companies belonged to his children.

The proceedings of the Avenfield properties case is presently under way in the accountability court of Islamabad.

Connecting the dots: The London apartments since the 1990s

A BBC Urdu report disclosed that properties, the London apartments owned by the Sharif family in London’s upscale Park Lane neighborhood were purchased in the 1990s and there has been no change of ownership since then. This report published by the BBC refutes the argument presented by members of the Sharif family who went into the JIT well rehearsed and still managed to mess things up in their “grand play”.

The mystery of 12-A, Avenfield House

According to several reports including the one by BBC, four flats were purchased in the name of the Nielsen and Nescoll companies, and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s son, Hussain Nawaz, had accepted the family’s ownership of the companies.

The report further said that another flat, 12-A, which is situated in Evan Field House, was purchased in the name of Flagship Investment Ltd on January 29, 2004. Flagship Investment Ltd documents showed us that Hassan Nawaz was the director of the company. A government record of companies doing business in the United Kingdom revealed that Hassan Nawaz established Flagship Investment Ltd in 2001. The address provided by Hassan at the time of registration of the company was that of his Park Lane apartment.

This automatically raises a question that many of Pakistan’s media and public offices have refused to ask. How did Hassan Nawaz establish Flagship Investment Ltd, in a flat, in 2001, The same flat that he “Purchased” using his “grandfathers” money in 2004, with no record of any other previous agreement or settlement? Put in simple words, how can one person buy a property in 2004 when he already owned the property in 2001 as per record?

Haunted “flats”

The first thing that needs to be kept in mind is that Hussain Nawaz said, in his rejoinder filed in the Supreme Court, that he bought the London apartments in January 2006. Hassan said neither he nor Maryam or Hussain had purchased these properties between 1993 and 1996 as alleged by Imran Khan. The second thing to keep in mind is that the Nielson and Nescol offshore companies purchased the flats in the 1990s and there has been no transfer of ownership ever since.

Without even moving further ahead it is already clear that there are pests destroying the crop but Pakistan’s main stream media ignores them saying that the crop is flourishing. Now, to the question, did the young Sharifs buy those apartments through their companies, according to which Imran Khan’s allegations are spot on, or, do the Sharifs not own any of those offshore companies at all, the later refuting all the arguments except the one, that they OWN THE FLATS since the Sharif family did, in fact, mortgaged four properties to the Deutsche Bank (Suisse) SA for a loan of GBP 7 million.

sharifsondotty.png

Connecting the dots leading to the companies

Keeping in mind that the Panama Papers on April 3rd revealed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s three children were among dozens of powerful people who own offshore companies in international tax havens. The argument simply concludes there and then that they alleged party has been an owner of those flats since the 1990s but to prove it further let’s look at further facts.

According to the documents of a property buying and selling organization in London, the first flat in central London’s Mayfair residence was bought at 17 Avenfield House by Nescol Ltd on June 1, 1993. The second, flat 16 was bought by Nelson Enterprises Ltd in the same building on July 31, 1995. The third flat, 16-A, was bought on the same date by the same company while the fourth, 17-A, was bought by Nescol on July 23, 1996.

All these properties were never sold or given or rented by any one else but were simultaneously owned by the Sharifs since we have established the fact that they used them for a mortgage. This simply is pointing out the fact that they indeed were involved in those companies

The British Virgin Islands Financial Investigation Agency has confirmed to the Panamagate JIT that both the offshore companies, Nielsen and Nescoll, are owned by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Safdar.

You are not getting the point or just trying to derail the main issue, The Sharif family , they are not denying that Nielson and Nescol purchased those properties during 93-95, neither they are saying that Nielson & Nescol transferred the ownership by selling it, they are saying in a court of Law that they did not owned the NIELSON & NESCOL before 2006...meaning even if NIELSON & NESCOL purchased flats/property in 93-95 and did not sell the property to anyone else and owned those properties continously, even then sharif family did not become the owner of the Avenfield property until 2006, cuz thats when they owned Nielson & Nescol, they say they have proven this in court, here check the tweet again...

Even if we take NAB's point, then still, In a real world, in a court of Law, just assuming that NS was owner, cuz kids were very young can not stand in a court of Law without solid documentary evidence proving NS an owner, just connecting dots will not help, especially when Sharif family says that the grand father gave property directly to the siblings....Telling half truths is equivalent to telling lies indeed....

I'M SURE YOU ASK YOUR GROCER THAT THE STALE LOOKING ROTTEN VEGS ARE FRESH OR NOT AND THEN BELIEVE HIS REPLY TOO THAT THEY ARE INDEED FRESH, LOL...WHAT INTELLIGENCE... LOL.

Even if we suppose their version for a sec then...What about the lie that Maryam holds the property as a trustee when there is no trust deed attached to these companies or properties according to Sharifs own asset management firm Mossack Fonesca...lol:

Maryam-doc3.jpg

Note the last line..."There is no trust connected".

Liar liar Skirt on fire...:haha:

Tim Sebastian of BBC grilling Hassan Nawaz on Nielsen and Nescol ownership by Sharifs while living in the same apartments in 1999, lol:

Hassan Nawaz:
Living on a rent.
I don't know who owns the apartments.
I'm not the right person to ask about property ownership.
I'm a student dependant on parents.

Well then ghonglo, why don't your parents submit that rent agreement dated 1999 in court under which you arse was parked in those apartments while you were dependant on your Parents, lol...

Islamabad, April 16 (TNS): TNS has obtained record (letters/documents) of HM land registry, UK which proves the transfer of Avenfield flats to Nielson and Nescoll between 1993-1995.
According to documents, available with TNS, the letter of Mossack Fonseca proved that Maryam Nawaz is the beneficial owner of Nielson and Nescoll assets including London flats.
The documents also proved the case of NAB that London flats were purchased through these companies between 1993-1995 when Nawaz Sharif’s kids had no source of income and beneficiary of these companies were kids of former Prime Minister.
These documents are retrieved through NAB source.
