It took India 13-years to purchase and induct off the shelf Rafales and 33 years to build and induct LCA Flying Rickshaws.

During that period, PAF went through a lost decade of 1990s, built it's own fighter aircraft with Chinese collaboration and demonstrated bombing Indian military positions in broad daylight.

Desi Rafale or a Desi Disaster?

Anyway, any reason why the pictured AWAC could not identify the Indian helicopter when it was shot down last year as friend or foe?

. . .
you guys are much more optimistic compared with most Chinese when it comes to national defense industry.

. . . . .
Gripen is a medium combat aircraft while Tejass is a light combat aircraft
Gripen vs Tejas Mk-1 dimensions
  • Length: 14.1 m vs 13.2 m
  • Wingspan: 8.4 m vs 8.2 m
  • Height: 4.5 m vs 4.4 m
  • Wing area: 30 m2 (320 sq ft) vs 38.4 m2 (413 sq ft)
  • Max takeoff weight: 14,000 kg vs 13,500 kg
  • Hardpoints: 8 on both
While the length of the Gripen is slightly higher, most other physical attributes are the same on both. Tejas Mk-2 (MWF) size is larger than the Gripen but slightly smaller than the Rafale

.
so many people have nothing to do everyday.... pakistan unemployment is really in tatters :lol::lol:

on the other hands, enemy should be happy ..... after all something rocks while sleeping and IAF shocks LOL
So you have a job and you're busy guy then why you're here, tell me please, only for trolling???

More likely in the class of Gripen, ORCA should be in the class of Rafale.
There is no ORCA...it's more like a fanboy rendering

The only official programs are
  • MWF: Larger airframe of the Tejas with enhanced operational range, GE-414 engine and more hardpoints. Being a derivative of the Tejas, the design was frozen at a quick pace and metal cutting for initial prototypes is scheduled to start early next year
  • TEDBF: Twin Engine deck based fighter for the IN, should be on par with Rafale-M
  • AMCA: Medium weight fighter with 5th gen tech

.
The same thing we all are listening from 1980s but still nothing happens....While HAL didn't have the capacity to build an aircraft 1980s which can have a potentential to be upgraded with time just like lockhead Martin Boeing and General Dynamics.

What do you mean nothing is happening?
Already Tejas squadron is operational. Wait, is it one of those see nothing, hear nothing games from you guys?

Bhai IAF version of TEDBF is named as ORCA it will be lighter than the Neval version by about 1.5 ton and will have more range.

No it isn't. Prove me wrong with an official source if any

ORCA renderings came out since a private Indian defence firm was supposedly to be considered for TEDBF's manufacturing and HAL didn't wanna get left out. ORCA is nothing but an unofficial rendering from HAL
