Today, Senator Marco Rubio held a Q&A for “young professionals” at St. Anselm College in New Hampshire. That sounds very boring, and it probably mostly was, except that Rubio gave perhaps the most insane answer possible to the question, “Who would you like to have a beer with who is not a politician?”

His answer: Malala!!!

LOL.

Marco. My man.

This is hilarious on about 40,000 different levels, the first being that Malala is both a teenager and a practicing Muslim, which would prevent her from drinking alcohol twice over. There is also just the general image of Marco Rubio and Malala having a conversation at a bar at Marco Rubio’s insistence.

“I’ll have the IPA,” — Malala, as she sits down to drink a beer with Marco Rubio.

. . . . . . .
How much is the fine,stateside?

A person one would like to have a beer with is just a colloquialism. All it indicates is a desire to sit down and talk to a person, usually meant to indicate interest in what that person has to say. That is all.
It's Marco Rubio! :D

Ever heard of a term figure-speech? This was that. The essense of his answer isn't that he "must" have an alcoholic drink. The message is, how much he appreciates her bravery and the work she's been doing.

How many people in the world get shot by crazy terrorists at a younger age, then fight for their life, still manage to live, and after they recover, they go to battle with these terrorist and spread more education, to avoid young children becoming extremists!!! So his response was an American cultural response. Doesn't mean he wants to get Malala drunk of a Beer ( a minor child still). In American analogy, a beer refers to a "conversation" and it can be had at Tea or Coffee!!

If I was you, I'd pick the fact that the American leaderships knows even Paistani children and the brave commendable stance they've made. Malala was born to go good things in the world. And I think, she might be a PM of Pakistan one day, who'll further modernize Pakistan. My Salute to her bravery!! The part here to focus was how he wanted to meet a Pakstani child, NOT Modi, not CEO of Google, not other Indian stars and CEO's....but a brave young women from Pakistan. Who really has hope and inspiration to offer to kids to get educated, NO CEO title or anything. That's BIG!!!

These people!:hitwall: He meant to sit and have a conversation. Not to force feed beer to a Muslim teenager.

She is 18. What's the legal age for drinking in UK ?

. .
Why are republican candidates such retards? One wants to build a wall paid for by another country and claims his life started off miserably with "only" a one million dollar loan from his father
Another is just stupid claiming the Egyptians didn't build the pyramids despite a ton load of evidence suggesting that they did.
And now comes this Rubio dic****** who wants to drink alcohol with an underage girl who will probably never drink alcohol in her life due to her religious beliefs.

By now the the Republicans should seriously consider changing their name to "The Half Witted and Ignorant Party".

Who takes this guy Marco Rubio seriously? haha

unnecessary overanalysing what seems to be a quick reply without much thought... I want politicians which are like humans, and not coached by an army of consultants( whose main job is to ensure you dont fcuk up and remain boring.)
