Where did it say about army, bring your proof? And be aware there is video of what she said.

See, BNP is a very confusing party. There are pro-Indians, Anti-Indians, Hardcore Pakistan lovers, Hardcore Pakistan haters, Leftists, Rightists, Pro-Independence force, anti-Independence force everything you will find in BNP.

That's why they never have any political stand on anything whereas BJP is a hardcore rightist Hindu party. No fun in working together.
It would be interesting to see Congress and BNP.

@kalu_miah I agree... BNP is not in a position to bring down Awamileague... Ershad didnt have any political muscle and it still took many years of combined BNP_BAL_JAMAT effort to bring him down... Awamileague is far more strong... If we look at our history - Only Army has the capability to do something quick.... They will move against the regime if , only if - UN stops paying them....... USA is vital now... Khaleda Zia showed it today there is no democracy left in this Country........

USA or West will not do anything in my opinion, because of Pivot to Asia. They need India more than India needs them. So the public disagreement is just to show that they are for democracy and rule of law. And also in principle they do not like military coup.

So if anything happens, it will have to be homegrown, which is not likely.

1.You are a liar...and turning out to be a pathological one at that.Army officers were not there harassing her....She did not say anything about taking revenge against the army....the report does not mention any such thing..her whole statement is on video and she did not say any such thing.

India has no meaningful way to contribute in "Asia pivot" that is more of the case when China already building web of pipelines (from Russia, Central Asia and from Iran) and diversifying energy sources away from gulf countries. Indian importance for indian ocean role is further minimizing. India does not want nor does have significant economic benefit to provide to US. And india already given enough evidence that it is willing to take cosmetic steps BUT not willing to do US bidding by harming its economic interest. US is looking for concrete action than cosmetic steps.

No intention to derail the thread but thought it would be helpful to see US position in relation to india, in prospective.

As for army, it is not just US nod, army command itself fraught with contradiction and self serving agenda. I was highly doubtful on army from the very beginning. Bottom line is movement against Indo-Awami terror has to enter into next phase. And I will just leave it at that.
