Vietnamese has set up a memorial to this heartbreaking defeat. One day the chinese will have to pay both principal and interest.

IMO the 1974 war was much more impressive.

The cultural revolution devastated China sunk the much larger and better armed Vietnamese navy in Paracel islands using a few rusty old ww2 Soviet fast attack crafts.

Almost inconceivable as the Vietnamese were using US destroyers and out tonnage the Chinese 5 times.

Supposedly, the Chinese FAC didn't even have adequate weapons, their main weapons were soldiers carry rocket launcher.

because they fight in a Short distance. and very Close to each others ship and soldiers

Look at the Viets. They were all pumped up with propaganda brainwashing thinking they are the third most powerful military in the world when in reality they are just lab rats for agent orange experimentation. They came to invade Chinese islands and we just casually butchered them like mowing a lawn. Even the voice over commentary is hilarious.

Memorial project for our 64 logistic soldiers were killed by Chinese aggressors on Gac Ma (South Johnson Reef) in Spratly.

If you want to win a Naval battle, you need money, and large numbers of major surface combatants (destroyers and frigates), with a strong submarine fleet.

How can Vietnam afford it? My own small city alone (HK) has almost double the GDP of the whole of Vietnam.

The clock is ticking. We are adding over $1 trillion to our economy every single year.

Consider you Viets lucky that China didn't ask payment for water from China to your Sông Hồng. you should be gracefull that these water allowed Vietnamese to survive from irrigation, industrial and social usage up the way to your capital Hanoi...if we decide to divert it, you viets will have to learn drink sea water...LMAO

And if we ask Cambodia to do the same with Meikong river since it's also originate from China, your Ho Chi Ming city will also be doomed.

You just dont have any leverage against us, not militarty nor geographically.

lol I don't know how truth is that but check this attached video, imagine what will happened to Hanoi if we deprived the citizens of Hanoi the entire river:lol:, you can say goodbye to your capital city and need to relocate further in south with a river that can support millions of vietnamese, litterally we can cast the shadow to northern vietnam and bring the entire region into chaos.
