Marathas in Balochistan

An interesting little community @DESERT FIGHTER helped me stumble across.

After the 3rd Battle of Panipat, the victorious Muslims (mainly Pashtuns and Balochis, but other ethnic groups such as Punjabis also acted as Lashkars for them in smaller numbers) killed/enslaved the remaining Marathas. Of the ones that were enslaved, many were taken to Balochistan where they eventually (alhamdulillah) converted to Islam and assimilated into Balochi culture to a certain degree whilst still maintaining their ethnic/cultural roots.

Panipat was just a long list of things not to do during a battle the marthas lost tens of thousands of soldiers and lost tens of thousands more women and children as slaves

The space after the defeat allowed the British empire space to plan and establish and plot and eventually take over a divided india

Preclude to the inevitable. Punjab also was won over with hundreds of years of fighting. Today Punjab is a powerhouse and base of Islam in the region.

Some of the worst enemies of Islam become the best Muslims when they convert.

Sometimes war is necessary to bring Islam into a region, especially if the dominating classes oppose Islam tooth and nail.

The future generations are saved from jahalat and have a better shot at a prosperous and beautiful future.
