Guwahati: Assam Congress leader Nilamoni Sen Deka brought about a stir on Sunday when he made a misogynist comment towards Human and Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, calling her the second spouse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing a gathering in Lower Assam’s Nalbari district, the previous Agriculture minister of Assam alleged that many people refer Irani as the second spouse of Modi. He additional questioned the union minister’s instructional qualification.

The louth-mouthed Congress leader’s comment definitely didn’t go down nicely with the BJP cadre.

Condemning his ‘shameful’ remarks, BJP basic secretary Ram Madhav questioned the management of Congress party.
