What's new

Many New Informations Tejas/LUH/LCH productions -}> HAL is in competition only with HAL: R K tyagi

Dude only this year went into production . So 2 this year. Next year it will 6 new Tejas later 8 . In two years we will have 16 new Tejas .or a squadron . By the time our production rate will be increased to 16 per year.

In 2 years we will have 16 IOC-2 standard Series Production Tejas?

I will change my name to anything you wish if we have 16 IOC-2 SP Tejas in 2017 February

Im not wrong and its not so funny once we look at HAL's reality

.
HAL has been known to make absurd claims. Like promising IAF in 1998 that Tejas will be in series production by 2000.

They assemble the Su-30MKI.
Russians are there to teach them how to, guide them and hold their hands as they cross the road

Nobody to help them with Tejas manufacturing.
You really have no idea what you are talking about.

.
A wife has option to divorce husband.

IAF is forced to stick to HAL for sake of indigenisation. No option to separate and thus increase capability

Only the wife is poor and is unlikely to find a suitable "new" husband without making major compromise with her Integrity. So what next ? prostitution ? like our neighbouring armed forces does ?

.
HAL competing with HAL also happens to be our primary issue.

Hoping the new chief , policies would bring out the required change in the industry.

No its called private sector and imports in a competitive atmosphere and not dealing with a corrupt dysfunctional sarkari daftar in a monopolistic atmosphere

And what role has the IAF played in promoting the Private sector ? :coffee:

At last count, they support was exactly ZERO. Not to mention the corruption in IAF sarkari daftar and monopolistic atmosphere.

Right i forgot

DRDO and ADA designed the Su-30MKI.
GTRE designed and produced the turbofan engines.
HAL is an expert manufacturer of 4th gen modern combat jets

Its a phenomenal export success to our longtime ally China, our perennial customer Russia, our close friends Venezuela and Angola.

Stupid me :disagree:

IAF has promoted private sector at great cost to HAL

When I saw this line I was pretty annoyed BUT I think what he said was fair enough in the context:

HAL is in competition only with HAL. If we can deliver on time, no one can touch us.

The latter part being crucial of course.

A pretty positive sentiment really, surprisingly pro-private industry, showcasing how HAL is transforming itself into a more proactive company (the Dornier example was pretty impressive, I wasn't aware of that). It seems what he says is true that in the last 2 years HAL has started to reform itself from within and the patent example illustrates that. They have a long way to go and disinvestment will help them on this road but for the first time in a while things are looking rather positive for HAL and it will take time for the fruits of these reforms to show and it will take a long time for the public's perceptions of HAL to change but I'm quite confident they will. Just look at DRDO, they are now delivering success after success and the public's perception of them is starting to change bit by bit.

Looks like the dude is high or he just gave a Maths paper (That Maths stuff make you go crazy,i once started singing the 'the international' during my Maths exam when i knew i was F*cked)

There is nothing groundbreaking in this news, HAL have stated this in the past

No nothing apart from HAL changing thir policy from being a manufacturer to a developer, which is good. They are moving away from ADA / DRDO, which themselfs aiming more on privat partners now, so we hopefully see competition between ADA / DRDO and HAL products in future for the same competition, which finally gives us the 2nd option that India needs in the aviation field.
Sadly the author didn't asked much about MMRCA and what Tyagi feels about Dassaults allegations and the possible part of RIL in it.The fact that HAL is silent on this shows on maturity on the one side, but also makes them look weak, which invites more public criticism. If they don't want to respond to Dassault directly, they only need to launch an add with the international licence productions and coops they have right now, to make people away, ideally with some statements about HALs work from officials of foreign vendors like BAE, Airbus, Boeing...;)

.
Is that REALLY what you took from this article? Did you miss:

16/annum is what HAL are targeting within the next 4 years.
HAL(n our other prestigious dpsu's) targets a lot of things,,n they love to boast(typical phrase being,"best in class")
delivering on promises is another matter

Looks like things are very positive and going in a right direction. No one want to be chucked out of their post

To be fair, the past 2 years covers the UPA's term, the Modi/NDA government can't be given all the credit for things we see today. Their actions taken today will be judged in 18 months time.

I was surprised the Rafale was mentioned at all, he did say:

We have earmarked land and other systems for building the Rafale fighter. I

Seems rather confident but at the same time one can't read too much into it.

Anyway sir, when's the last time you saw HAL make an ad? ;)

I don't think they need to anyway, the decisions will be made at the highest levels of government and an ad here and there isn't going to make a bit of difference to them.

Twist of the article is the RAFALE . What the hell is going on :D Source claims April trip by PM will clear it.

Talks must be going on MoD is also quite about it after lots of hush hush claims. Deadline is given . It's April . Final :agree:

Well they should, if they want to be an independent developer, they need to have credible marketing and defend themselfs from this kind of bad press Dassault is giving.
