Actors in conflict: (1) MQM. (2) ANP. (3) PPP. (4) TTP. (5) Organised criminal gangs. (6) Sectarian outfits. (7) Foreign intelligence agencies.

Police: According to a leaked embassy cable, “The police in Karachi are only one of several armed groups in the city, and they are probably not the most numerous or best equipped.”

ANP: The same cable states, “The ANP represents the ethnic Pakhtuns in Karachi. The local Pakhtuns do possess personal weapons … and there are indications they have begun to organise formal armed groups.”

PPP: Over the past five years, PPP workers have been issued a large number of arms licences and the speculation is that the PPP is now as well-armed as armed wings of other political parties.

MQM: According to the same leaked embassy cable, “MQM’s armed members, known as ‘Good Friends’, are the largest non-governmental armed element in the city. The police estimate the MQM has 10,000 active armed members and as many as 25,000 armed fighters in reserve. This is compared to the city’s 33,000 police officers. The party operates through its 100 sector commanders.”

Sunni Tehreek (ST): According to the cable, “ST has organised the party and its gunmen along the lines of the MQM by dividing its areas of influence.”.

This is the ground reality of Karachi, only MQM is not the culprit but every single political party in Karachi (we can say that they started this trend here). Even the religious political parties like JI and SSP have criminal groups. They own different area of Karachi and their workers do LOTMAR, CHORI, BHATTA KHORI and HARAM KHORI. Clean sweep should be done for every single one of them, not just MQM or else Pashtuns and Baloch aka ANP n PPP-AQ will eat peaceful non MQM - Muhajirs alive.

Living with comfort in U.K.... Altaf hussain should come in Pakistan and he has to face charges/cases in the courts... He has to give answer for killing of thousands Policeman and civilians.
