Harris Corporation:

Under the terms of the contract, Harris will supply its RF-5800H -- an advanced, high-frequency (HF) SSB/VHF-FM radio that provides reliable and secure tactical communications -- in the following quantities and configurations: 1,635 HF manpack radios, 1,635 HF vehicular radio systems, 50 high-power vehicular radio systems, six high-power base station systems, and two Radio Frequency Remote Control Systems. Ancillary equipment, spare and repair parts, support equipment, training services, and logistics support will also be provided by Harris.​

Noted :) our competitor - Harris. We always benchmark. There is no local manpack prods i assume.

Noted :) our competitor - Harris. We always benchmark. There is no local manpack prods i assume.
Both the 9600 and Harris ones go into backpacks.. although when I had to haul the Harris one it got a little tiring.
We went about 20+ clicks apart and with a mountain between us, and the Aselsan was the only one still working.

The PRC is made by Aselsan, some boards and software is ours.

Pretty sure it has NRTC written on it, will confirm again.
I used to remove those stickers to piss off the guys from NRTC coming to our office.

All NRTC did was recieve the box from aselsan and put a sticker on it.

Well then considering the fact that the vehicular set heats up when used with APU for the 200 Amp Bty, and the 9651 gets too hot to hold during summers and that data tfr is complex and unreliable, I would say that Aselsan f'ed up.
