Man guns down 7-day-old daughter

if you know femenism you will never say it . since these marches so many laws have been changed and will be change further . please read few masterpeace books on femenism .

FYI in pakistan first time monthly periods leave was approved because of these marches
first time honor killing laws amended because of females struggles
first time maternity leaves approved because of these struggles
SAP was launched by a female PM 1992-1993 when she have seen mysrible situation of females in pakistan
burn cases were major issue in 90s let me inform you some 739 females were burnt in only 1997 which is too high compare to today because of women rights struggle.

The average age of women for marriage has increased from 17.9 years in 1951 to 20.8 years
in 1981.About 23 percent of females between the ages of 15 and 19 are married,
According to UNICEF, 18 percent of Pakistani girls are married before turning 18
Pakistan ranks third-worst – 151 out of 153 – on the Gender Parity Index of the World Economic Forum (WEF)
just because last few years both sides have went too far you can not ignore women rights movement and feminism historically in pakistan . for god sake BEGAM LIQAT ALI KHAN was first femminist of this country she have started womens rights movement with All Pakistan Women's Association, or APWA.

Again how will these marches help with anything i fail to understand that. All these marches are doing is killing femininity not supporting it

All the changes you have mentioned are achieved through awareness and doing marches is the least affective way of awareness a better alternative is educating the masses not roaming on the streets with banners.

I'm all for more rights for women but it's a slippery slope because most feminists are not asking for equal rights they're asking for more rights then men.

Well marches like these were mostly not given any importance in the past but i see a trend of increase in their intensity in the last 3 to 4 years

Probably hindu roots. They used to bury their daughters alive. I only have a son and want to have a daughter as well. As far as society goes, nobody I know nor anyone in my family looks ‘down’ on having daughters. I have 4 khala’s and 3 phoopis. Daughter is a blessing in Islam. If you raise 2 daughters with Islamic education and basic necessities, you are given paradise.
Why blame everything on Hindus. The Arabs used to bury their daughters pre Islam.
The fact that that was 1400 years ago shows exactly where Pakistani society is.

1. What do you mean by "With Islamic education" ? Why not just education ?
Because just education would teach them to think for themselves which would challenge the system, whereas if they teach them just basic Islamic education that is what they need to turn them into zombies so they can breed more zombies.
Why do you think the mentality in our society hardly ever changes.

MIANWALI:
A man pumped four bullets into the body of his seven-day-old daughter in Nurpur Mohalla of Mianwali.
The accused, Shahzeb Khan, had been married two years ago and Allah had blessed him with a baby girl, Jannat, born seven days ago.
The baby’s maternal grandfather, Nasrullah Khan, told the police that his son-in-law had killed his daughter because he could not accept his wife giving birth to a girl -- and not a boy.
Shahzeb Khan is said to have had his basic education from a 'good' school, but he was more in sync with the “mores” of a “society” that considered it “a great humiliation” to have a baby girl or to be “the father of a girl”.
Nasrullah Khan, the maternal grandfather of Jannat, said that he himself had become the plaintiff in the case, and “we will never forgive our son-in-law at any cost. We will punish him severely”.
After the postmortem at Mianwali Hospital and legal proceedings, the body of the baby was taken by her maternal grandparents to Iskanderabad where her funeral prayers were offered.
Mianwali Ismailur Rehman Kharak, reached the District Headquarters Hospital where other senior police officers were also present.
On the occasion, Kharak said that Mianwali police had zero tolerance for people who had been involved in crimes of such a heinous nature. The accused would be arrested soon, and law would take its course, he said.
There took place a couple of merciless incidents of infanticide in June last year as well.
A man, then, had allegedly killed his newborn niece in Tandlianwala considering her a harbinger of bad luck for the future.
Punjab Police had said the suspect had confessed to his crime during interrogation, confirming that he thought girls were a bad omen for the family and bring misfortune.
According to police, 15-day-old Dua Fatima had gone missing from a cradle in her house in Mohallah Mubarakpura.
Her parents had searched the neighbourhood in hope of finding the newborn but failed.
In desperation, they had reported the incident to the police.
In the meantime, some people had spotted the body of the baby lying in a sewerage channel near the house of the complainant and informed the cops.
The police took the body into their possession and had it shifted to the mortuary for postmortem examination.
On suspicion, the cops detained Asghar, the uncle of the newborn baby, into custody, who then confessed to his merciless murder.
The suspect had allegedly told the police that he committed the crime to stop his family from acquiring bad luck.
On January 26 last year, dead body of a newborn girl had been found in the courtyard of a hospital in Dijkot.
Police had arrested three suspects, including a doctor and his son, after it was revealed that the baby had been strangled.

and some here joking on aurat march . mens mentality in this country is one of the most backward on planet earth . aurat march is needed to tight these animals .
Inside story is different......

Let the police to crack the case.....

Might be he killed his own daughter because he may be suspecting her wife for adulatory.

.
Make an example of him! Torture this mofo to death and make it the standard punishment for all those that harm children like him.
What do you propose to do about the society that turned him into the person he has become.

. . .
That is not at all justification... what's wrong with you?

You don't kill a f*cking baby no matter the circumstances
Seriously what is wrong with our people? We are the same people that make fun of India for being "backward" while we are JUST as backward as India.

As my father once told me Indians and Pakistanis are equally backward regardless of religion.

Moral compasses are not just broken, they are smashed to smithereens because we are always trying to fit every issue into a box named Islam or honour or culture or tradition or whatever box that it is you own instead of doing what is morally just and correct and when someone raises a voice against it these are the justifications you get.
It's these boxes that need smashing to smithereens and then people's minds can be truly free.

A regressive society creates regressive people, this is the environment these people were raised in, and it's the environment their children will be raised in. It's an endless cycle which can only be broken by socio-economic development and better quality education.

.
people from the city should be banned from country's politics. the able bodied should be snatched and put to work on dams and roads dispersed throughout the country.

a collective punishment for the whole city should be set forth.

.
And the people who forward these regressive mores of the society are also the ones who throw stones on the Aurat March or make misogynist jokes about the marchers ( there is one in the 'Stupid and funny' thread ) or belch out nonsense in the media or come on PDF to voice crassness and nonsense against the marchers.

South Asia requires a progressive revolutionary change. I don't understand how many of the masses who themselves suffer can continue to do their nonsense or unneeded or oppressive jobs and tolerate the irrationals in their society who should have been sent long ago to gulags in the Arctic or the hottest parts of Australia to do some mining and for the first time in their lives contribute to humanity.

My friend, there is no rational reason for a daughter or sister or wife not be able to continue the family legacy. :) And I don't understand the legacy thing. Even a father who does some nonsense Capitalist job like be an MBA stocks analyst or some mediocre software job and has no real legacy wants a son to forward his non-existent legacy. It's not like the father is a Gaddafi or an Elon.

Like I indicated at the start you Tableeghi types are reason for enabling a society where such a murder against the female has happened, that too a day before International Women's Day. It is no surprise at all that you hate the Aurat March. Everyone should go through your post history and they will find misogynist, casteist and classist posts. You use words like "Look at that kanjar / mirasi". Please stop this crassness and regressiveness and join a progressive movement. You call yourself a Muslim. Do you think Islam is merely a system of doing prayers and other rituals and dressing up and appearance of a certain silly and oppressive way or did it come about to deliver socio-economic and political justice to humans including the femalekind ? Do you think The Last Messenger would have uttered "Look at that mirasi girl" like you do ?

No, we must acknowledge that the rot is in society and society is made up of people including rotten ones who enable a system where such things happen.
There isn’t, but that is exactly the cultural aspect i point to that creates these issues. The basic tribal root of this is losing the wealth/territory/possessions of the family/tribe to another as daughters are generally married off and leave the house/territory. What makes it even more ironic is that from an Islamic teaching standpoint it is stated that on the day of judgment you will be called based on your mother’s name and not your father. Indirectly pointing to how irrelevant that paternal legacy will be
