Quran and Sunnah are revealed and ALLAH has told what is allowed and what is not in Quran and Sunnah Janab and no one can change or declare things made Halal by them as Haram you don't need ayat to tell you that you need common sense and basic knowledge of Islam

Quote the exact verse/surah which declares it Haram for the husband to seek permission from the council/first wife for second marriage. And if you can't, then you are free to follow whatever and whomever you want, for us the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم is enough. Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم didn't allow Ali كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ to marry another woman without divorcing his daughter first. Do you really believe that Ali كَرَّمَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ by seeking permission for second marriage and Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم by not allowing him were violating Allah's commands ??

As for Islam allowing men to have 4 wives, certain conditions/restrictions have been set forth; obeying the law of the land and following the (pre-)conditions agreed upon by the husband and wife at the time of signing the marriage contract are mandatory

Law of the land is under islamic law what ever islam allows and law of the land don't then that country is not suppose to call itself islamic republic.
I can't verify that hadiths authenticity Internet is not right way to verify.
The problem is here that everyone here knows islam allow men to marry 4 women but they find other ways to criticize it. That's where people start calling themselves moderate islam who wants alteration for their convenience. A man can marry up to 4 and he does not need any permission from any of his wives to marry. A clear verdict of the Holy Quran and even a state cannot alter it and it is blasphemous to meddle with such issue. Either accept Islam or leave it but you can't cherry pick.

You know what its useless. If religious zealots could be thought then the Muslim world would have had the printing press sooner. I am sure there were discussions similar to this one.

I have yet to find the so called clear verdict. The Quran is silent on permission. It says take wives among orphans and the poor if you treat them equally but its silent on permission. Suddenly silence is consent here.

Werent statues and pictures haram as well and since the Quran and sunnah are silent on loud speakers, perhaps we should take them away from mosques as they are unislamic.

Yar this law is amazing and has done far more good. People have gotten property rights thanks to section 4. Marriages are under documentation making deciet in family matters impossible according to section 5 and section 6 has made marriage deception of married males marrying indefinitely isn't happening. Jahilo Kay sath wasta par gaya hain. Thank God in moulvion ke koi power nahi reh Gaye. Can only abuse while doing a dharna in Islamabad.
