Man behind Operation Parakram sees China as big enemy

Yeah he hates Chinese too, but Indians dislike anyone of East Asian appearance anyway.

They even had to make the word "chink" illegal in India, because it was universally used to refer to NE Indians.

Call a Northeastern 'Chinki', be jailed for 5 yrs - The Times of India

See how much Indians like their South Indian Dalit friends, Tribals, NE Indians, etc.
We are evil:devil:

Alright let's get back to the topic.

India sees China as their main enemy, so how come you guys have dropped the ball so badly in the defence sector and economy?

And do you guys think Pakistan will "join in" on a future Sino-Indian conflict, because they missed the chance before in 1962 and have never gotten over it?

Stupid Democracy I say.
Anyway, China wan't so hunky-dory either before 1979. Economic liberalization got enforced on you peeps by Deng.

There's gonna be no war between India and China. It's pretty much gonna be pushing and shoving matches and mutual protests for China and India.

If there is one, Pakistan would do well to stay out of it. Indian policy there is going to be "shoot the dog"

We do not have any water sharing treaties with any other country.

And we will never have any water sharing treaties with any other country.

If the water is on Chinese land, we have full authority to do whatever we want with it. If anyone doesn't like it, that's their own problem.

Try to get educated on the international laws governing river water sharing.

You know what the worth of "voluntary" international law is, right?

Domestic law trumps it every time. See America with the Iraq war (ignoring the UN) or Guantanamo Bay, neither of which are on American soil, yet are under American domestic law. People from all over the world are in Guantanamo Bay because of American domestic law.

Now ask under which laws did we seize the Scarborough shoal in 2012, forcing America to abandon their mutual defence treaty with the Philippines. Chinese domestic law.

We are already building multiple dams on the Brahmaputra, so apparently Indian concerns were ignored.

We'll no system is perfect and so democracy can sometimes produce undesirable situations. The situation was the combination of many factors, including a slowing world economy and majorly internal, especially the weak and disinterested govt.

Pakistan did think India was weak after 1962 and attacked in 1965, they were not expecting a humiliation at very least.

Pakistan is looking for a way to get even with India, for the wars India never started. We cannot guarantee Pakistan will not jump in a war it thinks provides it an opportunity, we have to ensure that the saner minds in Pakistan do a cold calculation on the fallout of joining a war against India and sees a heavy loss.

Same goes for China, we are not looking for winning a war with China - We are looking for an effective deterrent to any misadventure in the making.

China is not America and India is not Iraq. And so far the dams are run of the river dams, and they are likely to remain like that because of Indian objection.

That is frankly none of my business. That's between Pakistan and India.

And anyway, the Indus River doesn't flow through Indian territory. It flows through PK territory.

Whereas the rivers of Asia start in Tibet Autonomous Region and Yunnan, not in any disputed area. Not just South Asian rivers like the Brahmaputra and the Indus, but Southeast Asian rivers like the Mekong river and the Red river which provide water to SE Asia.

If the highlighted part were correct , Pakistan would be the only nation in the world which signed a treaty with another nation back in 1961 to share water that flowed through its own territory.

Just as you Chinese are convinced that Aksai Chin belongs to you, we Indians are sure J&K belongs to us.

Since you said the China feels all water in its territory belongs to China, shouldn't the same apply to India ?

Why should Pakistan & BD poster crib about water sharing ?

No more than a South Indian in India, i.e. a Dalit. :P

We've seen the news on this forum, Dalits (i.e. South Indians) get killed pretty much all the time in India. For no reason at all apart from their darker skin color.

For Gods sake educate yourself.

Where have you picked this up from - Dalits i.e South Indians !! ??
