Rather than bringing in India into your own ill and trying to derail the topic under discussion, do introspect what can be done to improve the situation. :-(

I agree that India have to do a lot to tackle this menace but we try our best to make sure that we provide justice to the victims by convicting the culprits in almost every case. Sorry to say it is the are where Pakistan has a consistently poor track record, and it is not me who say for rather your own law makers who had acknowledged the fact multiple time inside and outside your Parliament.

Freedom of press, in layman terms, is described as absolute freedom given to journalists and news outlets by state/government. Until and unless state bullies press into submission of printing news favourable to govt and paddle their rosy picture, death of journalists and freedom of press are mutually exclusive.

Otoh, most of journalists killed in India are because they were investigating sand mafias, drug paddlers, illegal arms suppliers or hawala rackets.

That's not state infringement, that's law and order issue.
