Malays are lazy, dishonest, unethical and derserve to lose vs Chinese

He has a big dream for the nation, but implementation failed (because of politicians, gov officers and the people). I rather say we fail him...
What I can say is that Mahathir may not the perfect guy but at least he tried to industrialized Malaysia. Under Mahathir, Malaysia had years of solid growth and he invested a lot on infrastructure. He invested in computerisation making the Government more efficient. He was business friendly. Most Chinese support him because most Chinese are in business. Under him there was law and order. He was tough enough to outlaw the Al Arcam religious group. He and his daughter has always been against Muslim symbolism. He also bought the Sultans under the law. You need a tough guy to do that.

His main failure was that he was unable to make the Bumis more competitive. Perwaja on the orther hand was a real let down by a Eric Chia.

Anwar on the other hand has not achieve anything. He is nothing but failure. He may now be more friendly to Chinese, but when he was younger, he was very anti-Chinese and was a radical Muslim.

Anwar got no chance.
Unless the people change their mentality, they will forever stay as third world country.
There will be no Chinese or Indian supremacy as population is too small.

Also, Malaysia have too much internal shxt to deal with, not International.
What international shxt to deal with?
PH claim to Sabah? Malaysia military is not strong, but PH is weak.
SCS issue? Seriously i don't worry about China, as everything can be settled behind the closed-door.

Are Malaysians seeing the intrusion of western powers into your internal affairs through news organisations or NGOs?

.
When you give undue favors to certain group of people, they naturally become lazy, for nobody refuses easy job, easy residence, easy money. Mahathir must blame himself and no one else for it.

Did you get a free house too? Let me know, I might come by for a few months to be lazy. We work very hard in the US!!

Of course there is intrusion of western power into the internal politic to a certain degree, just like most of the countries on earth.

When it comes to Mahatir, he is not a simple man to describe, at times he looks like an accumulation of contradictions, while at others it feels he understands deep down that he might be responsible for some of the ills afflicting Malays and Malaysia directly or indirectly. He is an interesting man, his recent visit to Bersih Rally showed he is still loved by an overwhelming majority of Malaysians and over the years regardless of race.
But at the very same rally he said, he does not agree with Bersih demands and only want Najib to step down, not much of a plan is there, as Najib is the symptom of diseases Malaysia is suffering from, even if he goes there will be someone else to replace him. Things will be business as usual. Tun keeps on contradicting himself, time and time again.
He is one of the most interesting politician alive in South East Asia, and trying to categorize him is no easy task. He identified himself as a Malay Nationalist through out his political career, yet also tried to be a reformer who aspired to make Malaysia prosper with a racial harmony, which was badly affected by his policies.

Mahathir defends ‘lazy Malays’ remarks | TODAYonline

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has defended his remarks criticising the country’s Malays for being lazy, which triggered an online furore, saying he was ashamed that they had been left behind by the forward-thinking Chinese community.

Dr Mahathir, Malaysia’s longest-serving Prime Minister, said the Malays were still lazy, citing the gender imbalance at institutions of higher learning where the majority were women, as an example.

“The Malays are lazy, they are not interested in studying and revising. If we go to the universities, 70 per cent of the students are women, where are the men?” Dr Mahathir told the Utusan Malaysia newspaper in an exclusive interview published yesterday.

“They prefer to become Mat Rempit (Malay motorcycle gang members), that is why I said they are lazy,” Dr Mahathir told the weekend edition of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO)-controlled daily.

Speaking at a book launch last Thursday, Dr Mahathir had lamented that he may have failed to transform the country’s ethnic majority into a hard-working race in his 22 years as Prime Minister.

He said Malays lacked good values and ethics and were not hard-working enough, leading them to trail behind the other races economically.

An once again you dont fail to disappoint me with your BS and twisting of news to suit your stupid racist filled agenda.

You don't have to drag the Chinese into this kind of topic.
He can't help it, he is a racist.

He has a big dream for the nation, but implementation failed (because of politicians, gov officers and the people). I rather say we fail him...

That is the sad part here, nothing had changed.

Racial tension are building up in Malaysia. I don't have mood to debate on this. I just got flamed by a Malay 'Goreng Pisang' hawker about Chinese burning Malaysia flag a day after Merdeka.

UMNO is using Malay nationalism and deep seated racial discourse to stay in power, such stories only will make things worse for Malaysia. What that person said to you is a prime example of deep seated racial distrust prevalent among Malaysians against each other.

Anwar got no chance.

Things are really taking the turn for the worse, Johar royalty is exhibiting more and more authority when compared to the rest of Malaysia. There is also a growing voice in Johar supporting secession from Malaysia, as those people feel that Johor can do better following Singapores model. For now all these movements be it in Johor or Sabah and Sarawak are weak but if the things continue to head downwards, situation might change.

Islam is the religion who make the weak become strong, criminals become saint and loser become winner.

Malays are increasingly identifying themselves by religion rather than by ethnicity or nationality, unlike the other races in Malaysia, according to an upcoming survey report.

Asked if they see themselves as Malaysian, Malay or Muslim first, about 60 per cent chose Muslim, up from 54 per cent a decade ago, said Mr Ibrahim Suffian, executive director of independent pollster Merdeka Centre.

Conversely, the percentage of those who saw themselves as Malay fell to 6 per cent from 11 per cent over the same period.

Malays are the only ethnic group where a majority identified themselves with religion, Mr Ibrahim told The Straits Times.

Most Chinese and Indians, on the other hand, identified themselves by nationality.

About 58 per cent of Chinese and 63 per cent of Indians saw themselves as Malaysian first, while only 27 per cent of Malays did so.

So what exactly Malays must do to appease you? Denounce being Malay, denounce being Muslims? What exactly it is, the irony of this whole situation with you is, that you're same kind of racist you accuse Malays of.

You aptly sumed up love hate relationship Chinese had with Mahatir.

Any sensible person would have done, but he aint one to begin with.

Free housing is only for Malays, actually that is also an oxymoron. The so called free housing is pretty bad, but what they have is something known as "Bumi" specific lots in every project. There is a certain numbers of apartments, lots or houses in every project designated as "Bumi lots", which can only be bought and sold by Malays. With a median income of just 3.5K RM per month, these so called units are out of reach of common Malaysians including Malays. This so called policy have created a new class of ultra rich Malay elite, which is the biggest hurdle against any such reform.
