Renowned activist for women education Malala Yousafzai has successfully been accepted to Oxford University for undergraduate studies after acquiring her A-level result.

Yousafzai recently commenced her studies at the prestigious Oxford University – five years from the day that she was shot by the Taliban for campaigning for girls’ education.

The Nobel Peace Prize laureate tweeted last week, saying, “5 years ago, I was shot in an attempt to stop me from speaking out for girls’ education. Today, I attend my first lectures at Oxford.”

However, all hell broke lose when the 2o-year-old was spotted wearing a jeans and top with her head covered with a dupatta.

Some bashed Malala for her ‘shocking’ choice of wardrobe.

While some went as low as calling her a foreign conspiracy once again, merely on her dressing, others came out in her support.

. . . .
Nobody cares that's why it took over the South Asian Internet. Right.

South Asian internet?
You know a burping Kuala can do that as well.

Desis talk about everything and everyone. Talk talk talk.

Now my feminist question is: Why did not Malala wear her traditional clothes to Oxford? Does she thinks she will not be welcomed if shes goes in like Patiala Asma Jahangir?

Yeah exactly. Internet trolls now define headlines for lazy reporters.

really?

My tomato protest never caught any attention. How discouraging.

It's highlighting how hypocritical most of the society is
Why should she wear Eastern attire in one of the most Prestige University in the West, when females in your own land don't? And nor do males? For the record it's Autumn.

Please.

Honestly the guys wear Jeans and Ts themselves and the girls who go on are probably the types who deep down wish they were allowed to wear Jeans. To the normal people, no one cares.

It's fine not be a fan of someone, but you don't have to be critical of every little thing which doesn't seem necessary.

@El Sidd your genuine Pakistani question doesn't make sense and because it's genuine just goes to show asking such a question is so stupid in itself.

well it was a genuine question.
stupid or idiotic is one way of looking at it.
i see her as the next political leader in Pakistan so was a genuine query if she knows how closely she is followed in Pakistan by people of every walk of life.
My bad.....stop giving me the third degree ankles

The girl can wear whatever she wants. Cultural wear isn't a 'Fardh'.

Keeping her dupatta on says a lot though, no? @El Sidd

lol seriously i have no issues with burka dupatta or any other thing. wear whatever one is comfortable in. simple logic.

i was just saying dont give much attention to such things.

next time if i bump into her i will ask her to have a smoke just to rattle some people up.

nobody cares - its just everyone wants to talk on everything.

agreed, either ban jeans and T-shirt for men in Pakistan, and make the shalwar kameez a farz
or allow the women to wear anything they like without us fighting about it
