I'm am actually not a fan of Malala but its not a good idea her life will be in danger if she returns to Pakistan and God forbid if that happens it will further perpetuate false stereotypes it's better she stays in the UK where she is safe.

I'm not worried about terrorism but rather the common folk really the jahil and violent masses look at Gojra riots,Mashal Khan lynching,Qandeel Baloch killing, hero worship of Mumtaz Qadri and so many other instances of high profile honour killings and mob violence this would not have happened in a civilised society. Terrorism maybe being rooted out but violence and hate is still deeply rooted in Pakistan. She's so high profile now and many Pakistanis hate her if anything where to happen the damage to pakistan's reputation would be cemented even further. I'd rather she stay where she is to avoid any potential incidents. Better to be safe than sorry in my opinion.

Judging by your statements, terrorism by its definition rather than political usage has not been rooted out. If people think using violence in the pursuit of political goals or (societal goals that are linked to politics) is justified then terrorism has not been rooted out and depending on the extent of the problem, may be embedded into society itself. Killing a few militants in FATA or even targetting them in major cities like Karachi isn't going to fix this issue; a far more education-oriented approach is needed to pivot peoples' ways of thinking so that terrorism can truly be uprooted rather than pruned. As General Bajwa himself has said, every Pakistani is a ‘soldier in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad’.

The conclusion derived from the arguments that the author presents is quite comprehensive though I would add
that although "any critique of Malala must make the distinction between Malala the person and how she is represented in Anglophone media cultures.", any critique of the views held by people who dislike Malala should be viewed in the wider context of the general mistrust of the West and its intentions by Pakistanis.

In agreeance to what you said, Malala's plan to return to Pakistan will serve as a test to see how successful Pakistan has been in ridding our nation of the menace of terrorism. If anything were to happen to her, it would portray Pakistan in a negative light; however, if everything goes well — and insha'Allah it will — it will provide a boost to Pakistan's global image and thus its soft power.
