Dunno about the calculations, but the article shows the rations on a flat map. The map which is made assuming the 0th longitude is the one passing through Greenwich and the edge corresponding to the international date line. The same prime meridian that the clock attempts to replace.

Are the creators of this clock tower willing to incur the wrath of "God" for changing the map and as a consequence messing up the golden ratio?

Oh yes you mean uk is international while arab is undernational.

I am just picking out holes in the various theories floating around.

No, I don't think even Saudi Arabia will make this change.

Dude, I am not against any on setting their clocks to Mecca Standard Time. The prime meridian is just a reference point.

What I am against is to use pseudo-science in promoting such activity. Why do you call it science if you are not willing to listen to criticisms about it. All of science is based on critique.
