There is an order for over 100 pieces of this Machine of which only 18 have been cleared for production. Now we all know the final trials will only be complete by the end of this year and by the time the trials are comple the Army will have 18 such lethal guns at their command. Don't you think the MOD has done a good job and Mr. Parrikar having specialized in the field of Metallurgy from IIT himself can to an extent predict the result before the final trials are over.

Now we need to give this man some credits for fast traking the production.

..you are right..but my question is slightly different...
..why not order 18 MK2 also now, to expediate their induction- as explained by you.
MP is a learned man , but for defence minister, the technical knowledge is secondary to one's clarity of thought. Mulayam singh yadav may be most naive of all DM, but his decision of SU-30 was a game changer...opposite is for Antony
