and why this always or mostly happens in Tribal areas or near tribal areas?

News channel is saying that so far three major generals have been killed by taliban. It indicates taliban can not be defeated by use of force, only peace deals are solution, like army made it with hafiz gul bahadur and maulvi nazir.

What happens to the peace process now, will the PA let this slide- say that the IED might have been put there before the peace process was initiated?

nothing is going to happen to Peace process. TTP will not take responsibility of the attack or sit this one out. When there is no hush hush, the blame will automatically be put on Mullah Fazullah sitting in Afghanistan. We will demand Afghan govt to nab him for us, and they will show us a middle finger.

TTP needs time to re organiza and regroup itself hence Peace process and laying low is the way for them.
As I said last night it is for Govt to think what are they going to do with this spare time

If you add qabail threat to equation then you would also provoke all those tribesmen who fought as aman lashkar against taliban and also those who have been so far neutral in this war between taliban and army. There are maximum 15000 taliban in tribal areas while there are atleast 1 million armed men in FATA. Do the math, do you want to extend the war to all tribals?

There is a term ''common denominator'' and in all these incidents the common denominator is tribal areas or areas next to tribal areas.

So yes there is a problem with ''Ghayoor Qabailii'' .
On the other hand Punjabis get no credit for being peaceful,instead get bulled and insulted for this by our ''ghayoors''....

Pakistani general killed by a roadside explosive device laid by terrorists
While the government of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province ruled by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has approved phased withdrawal of army from Swat area, the terrorists returned the favor by launching attack on a convoy of Pakistan Army. Three soldiers, including one general officer and a lieutenant colonel were killed when a roadside Improvised Explosive Device (IED) targeted their vehicle near Upper Dir on Sunday. The officers, identified as Major General Sanaullah and Lieutenant Colonel Tauseef, were undertaking a routine patrol and were returning from Pakistan Afghanistan border after meeting the troops deployed on border posts. The casualties were shifted to a local military hospital in the area.
The worst fears that Swat Valley was being handed over to Pakistani Taliban through this decision on Saturday were confirmed on Sunday. The area is adjacent to Swat district and is a part of the valley where army launched a military operation in 2009 to flush out TTP terrorists under Mulla Fazlullah, also known as Mullah Radio for his fiery speeches through an illegal FM channel. After successful operation, the peace was restored in the area and the terrorists fled to Nuristan province of neighboring Afghanistan. Malala Yusafzai, the courageous teenager targeted by terrorists also hailed from Swat area.
The stance of Pakistan’s politicians to appease the terrorists through the offer of dialogue seems to have emboldened them. Though the government did not attach any precondition to dialogue offer like cessation of attacks or laying down the arms, the Pakistani Taliban demanded Sunday that the government release militant prisoners and begin withdrawing troops from the group's tribal sanctuary before they will participate in peace talks, raising doubts about prospects for negotiations. The demand that Pakistan Army be pulled out from FATA, a restive tribal region, was first made by Imran Khan who is also known as Taliban Khan for his sympathies with the terrorists. Pulling out the army would effectively mean that the government has recognized terrorists’ writ in the area they hold as their safe haven. The resolution offering olive branch to terrorists has already been dubbed as an instrument of surrender by analysts.

They are cannon fodder for centuries,nothing new here.
Parents make more babies on purpose,because they know some will get killed in an armed conflict,be it with a neighbour or an army.
Common occurance in Tribal areas.


Btw...if a punjabi has vengence against PA they cant get hold of explosives and weapons that easy.
But if a Qabailii wants to blow up a few troops,all he has to do is go shopping in a Tribal market...

Thats why these Brutes should be treated as such and we should stop harping songs of praise for them... A war cannot be won until the enemy is labelled as enemy. Qabaili are Pakistan's enemy ...
