Iranian army chief Major General Dr Mohammad Bagheri led a delegation at the GHQ, where he met COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday.

This is the first time in 20 years that an Iranian defence delegation visited Pakistan. The army chiefs of the two countries discussed issues of mutual concern, security situation, border management and defence matters.

According to General Bajwa, they discussed ways to improve bilateral ties. The Iranian army chief condemned the recent terrorist attack in Balochistan that has claimed 149 lives so far.
