Iranian generals and government officials are leaving IK with very little maneuvering space with regards to balancing the Saudi-Iranian equation. On the one side Saudi offers tangible financial benefits whereas a deterioration of ties with Iran helps India to further strengthen its foothold in the region.

Ideally IK should be able to balance both but Pakistan is being pushed into a corner by this verbal barrage from Iran, and this will only further public opinion in favor of Saudi. Unless Tehran wants Pakistan completely and utterly in the Saudi camp, it should show more maturity and desist from such public statements. Otherwise the situation will become completely black and white, to the benefit of neither party in the wider timeframe.

With all due respect, that is why US is not the most favorite country around the world these days. If Iran start to act like US just because it can, then what is the difference?

That's an absolute fair point, I was just pointing out what would happen if such a thing were to occur in the US. I fully understand the sensitive nature of that region but damn is it hard to get mad for you Iranians sometimes lol.

Sincerely you guys need to step up your military presence in the Sistan-Baluch region. Maybe not overtly but covertly or something.

How do you balance with such belligerence? Clearly an Iran-Iraq style conflict with Pakistan is favored by India. Iran need to think long and hard who they ally with.

Why are we surrounded by countries which are run by cartoons? Did these 'men' never leave the 5th grade? Their statements seem more of online defence foras than of any foreign relations discourse.

dude first of all this jaish al adl lives on both sides, not only in pakistan.how is it possible that your soldiers eat poison and someone kidnap you? this happened with iran.now look at their training and their infrastructure.they can't even stop a car crossing onto their side, how can they deal with this group? rather than blaming pakistan, they should focus on their border security.i don't know who they call soldiers? the people on the border with the gun or the irgc members in syria? anyway they should give evidence.you can see the pattern is same, just like indians.they know about let, iran knows jaish al adl travels between both sides of border.this iran government have no proof at all.they directly blamed a banned organization in pakistan.this will not serve any purpose.where is proof? where is evidence of border crossing? irgc have nothing.they learn this game from india and now applying pressure on pakistan.now you said that all neighbors blame pakistan.see india even blamed pakistan for samjhota express but investigation made it clear that their own citizen was involved.they are blaming us since independence.now look at afghanistan.you know their was growing influence of india inside afghanistan so it was just a proxy war.afghan government is not eligible government.they know they must go someday so you can't blame pakistan for afghan mess.now this war in afghanistan will be over and you can understand the frustration of iran and india.both iran and india wants to trade with afghanistan using chabahar and pakistan don't want it.we look at our national interest first.iran is speaking the language of india because iran and india both supported afghan government and not talibans.iran have links with taliban but not like pakistan.

as far as missiles or other weapons are concerned, they can bring it on the border but any attack on pakistani soil will be considered a war and iran knows the importance of pakistan.we saved iran several times in the past.americans, arabs, they want pakistan to help or assist them against iran.pakistan can also change it's policy.if iran can change it then pakistan can also change it.problem is iran will be surrounded with enemies from every side if it continues to speak indian language.we have far better military and equipment than iran currently have.they should care about their country.

The overarching point that I've thus far gotten from this recent attack is that both Pakistan and Iran have a deadly issue within the Sistan-Baluch border area. Anyone's criticism of Irans border security is fair and anyone criticism Pakistani lack of internal security is also fair.

Your point about Iran being surrounded by enemies is something I can't sympathize with fully. Turkey isn't an enemy, Afghanistan is a security risk but not an enemy, Pakistan still has good relations with Iran as far I know, Iraq is a close ally to Iran. The only enemy are the Saudis and Gulf nations to the South except for Qatar.

About time we claim our ancestral lands, occupied by farsiwan. We need to learn from the chitralies and how they claim the lands in the north of afganistan

As per my knowledge Chitralis are related to Nuristanis and Pamiris while Wakhis are related to people of GB.

I think the only country that is benefiting from this is the one that likes to see both Iran and Pakistan weakened.

Both sides should have patience and try to deal with this issue. I wouldn't be surprised to hear that a 3rd country paid for this operation to turn Iran and Pakistan against each other.

This is exactly what i said.

I thought that was Pakistan occupied Pakhtoon (Pathan) land. Actually we don't have any Pathan in Iran.

"We have always offered Pakistan help in the region, but I have this question from the Pakistani government: where are you heading to? You have caused unrest along borders with all your neighbors and do you have any other neighbor left that you want to stir insecurity for ? Are you, who have atomic bombs, unable to destroy a terrorist group with several hundred members in the region? How many of your own people have been killed in different terrorist operations? We do not want your condolences, how could your condolence help the people of Iran?I tell the Pakistani people that the Saudi cash has influenced Pakistan and they want to destroy Pakistan with such measures..the Pakistani Army should not let several billion dollars of a Saudi criminal burn alive Muslims on a bus [in Iran] and finance other terrorist operations in the region, I ask the Pakistani government what has been left for Pakistan? I warn you not to test Iran and anyone who has tested Iran has received firm response. We are speaking to Pakistan with a friendly tone and we are telling that country not to allow their borders to become a source of insecurity for the neighboring countries; anyone who has made this plot for Pakistan is seeking to disintegrate that country, the Islamic Republic of Iran will take revenge of its martyrs from those mercenaries who have committed this crime no matter where they are in the world, We will punish this wicked group in any part of the world and we will not allow the blood of our youth to be shed in the country and cleaned (and forgotten) easily..Some countries have wealth, but no prowess, (US President Donald) Trump tells the Al-Saud that if it hadn't been for the US support, Saudi Arabia would not have survived and Saudi Arabia's monetary coalitions in the region have all ended in failure."

Major General Soleimani said on Thursday, addressing a ceremony in the Northern Iranian city of Babol in Mazandaran province.

Iran has bigger problems on its door step. Worry about the US and Israel taking you down before threatening Pakistan! You were never a loyal friend to Pakistan anyways, facilitating our biggest enemy to the East.

It would seem that the tone within Iran's military and upper brass has changed regarding Pakistani ineptitude with respect to the border region (those 27 dead must have been the straw that broke the camel's back). Multiple high ranking Iranian officials are now openly calling out Pakistan for their evident inability to adequately quell the terrorists on their side of the Baluch-Sistan region/border. If I'm not mistaken Iran has offered many times to pursue them or work more closely with Pakistan on this issue (don't know the specifics to be honest). Also it really doesn't help Pakistan that the bombers who committed the attacks were Pakistani as well. You can constantly blame x,y and z but now you Pakistanis have multiple neighboring countries that are quickly getting fed up with your nations internal security issues. There is a tipping point for any nation, I think Iran has reached theirs.

Genuinely look forward to the updates regarding this issue. My main hope is that Iran bolsters its side of the border drastically (and by that I mean sending a boat load of troops with long range artillery, MLRS's, drones, Fatehs, etc) and quite frankly tells the Pakistanis to piss off and deal with it if Iran decides to launch targeted strikes on Jaish-ul-Adl, or another other terrorist position in Pakistan, within reason of course.
I said the past attack was turning point.
poor Imran khan, they made new enemy for him in west, and our relation with Pakistan won't back to previous relation anymore.

i know about iraq, turkey and afghanistan but afghanistan and pakistan should be stable for the stability of iran itself.iran knows it.pakistan have the advantage because pakistani enemies are closer to the border while iran have enemies who can use proxy, from any country, even from afghanistan.they shouldn't change their policy towards pakistan.pakistan can do anything for it's own interest.region is full of proxy wars.

Absolutely, thirds countries are involve but sadly this time Pakistan military and Intelligence forces cooperate with Terrorists how we can we silence about that.
If Pakistan and Imran khan is serious; he should arrest and trial these Rogue elements.

we are responsible for the security of irgc in iran .
.
secure your side first . build a wall or proper border if you prefer lives of ur soldiers over oil smuggling.

One terror attack from Pakistan one after another for decades !
build a wall but your generals wont do that . due to iil smuggling .

Pakistani Commandos need to strap a nuke to Iranian Major-General's backside and detonate it in the Indian Ocean.

The Iranians are testing Pakistani patience. Does Iran really want to turn into an atomic ash?
Not after Iran and India turns you to nuke ash

Before you can bark at Iran you can try barking at the USA which bombs you and violate your country everyday but wait you can’t because they can starve you to death or bomb your country to the Stone Age:-)

Well fock you irani fock. We will welcome everyone who will bring investments in pakistan. These losers have been angry at everyone since the long gone persia. Losers fought against Arabs, Turks and got defeated everytime and now threatning the sole Nuclear power of islamic countries. There is no need to spend more time on these sore losers
