He did't apologized for Nationwide lockdown. There was not an option for Modi, he can not sit idle and let India situation be like Iran, Italy or US.

He apologized for difficulties caused to them. And, it was necessary.... Now, we are getting position to extend the lockdown upto 31st April. If he was thinking only, then thinking only.... being a administrator you have to take call and decision. administrator should be proactive and not reactive.

See the pictures again, that purpose is not achieved. Instead people are more exposed to COVID-19 by walking huge distances, agitations, travel in crowded buses which have resumed service now.

The question here is not "Defending Modi". The fact remains that the Prime Minister of India was either deliberately or in ignorance misquoted by the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In the Capital Talk of today, Hamid Mir replayed the declaration of Imran Khan as well as part of the actual speech of Narender Modi. The gist of what Narender Modi said is that he apologizes to the Nation for causing hardships especially to the poor but he is sure that the nation shall forgive him as there is no other way to fight the Coronavirus plague.

Kindly understand that the people who criticize Imran Khan or the PTI gov't are as much patriotic as anyone else. If Imran had double-checked what Modi actually said; he would have avoided the subsequent ridicule & not provided the opportunity to the PPP & PML-N leaders to make him look foolish.
