Maher does know that if you get raped in KSA, the girl ends up being punished for 'adultery' instead of the rapist. Hallmark of medieval era societies. Though I presume being in 5th and 6th century AD may be an ideal & aspirational goal for many.

I dont want to discuss liberties Islam gives to Muslim women as in a forum like this, highly esteemed female personalities of Islam become object of ridicule. Just one example. Hazrat Khadija-tul-Kubra RA was a successful business woman so much so that her business goods went on camel trains. She herself proposed to Prophet Mohammed PBUH. This is the liberty that Islam gives to women and honestly none of Islamic countries are Muslim if we go by this yardstick.

Really? Now, are you comparing the ills of Indian society (which are certainly not sanctioned by Indian constitution) to Saudi state laws which clearly discriminate against women?

Do you know if Indian government by law discriminates Dalits as you so passionately put it? If at all, they positively discriminate Dalits to provide them with subsidies, scholarships, grants and better job opportunities pretty much in all fields!!

What Saudis do is sanctioned by their state as laws. What some people in Indian society do when it comes to Dalits is not sanctioned by Indian government. In fact, it is punishable by law to discriminate against Dalits!! So stop comparing apples and oranges!!

We could care less of what your religion teaches you. We all know very well how Islamic countries treat women. Religion is not the topic of discussion, don't bring it when it is not being discussed!
