Waiting for New Version Torrent in HD. if any body can help me out, he is welcomed

No offence to the new seial, but nothing will come anywhere close to the original TV classic! What a series that was!

One thing I hate to see is such great characters being portrayed by Models, not Actors. Merely casting a guy with bulging muscles does not impart any depth to the characters. B R Chopra got it so so right with his casting!

I doubt anyone else can fit into role of Duryodhan than Arpit Ranka.

The actors they selected were right choice. (At least when it comes to Shantanu, Duryodhan, Dhritrashtra, Shri Krishan and Bheesma.)

Especially Arav Chaudhary is perfect for role of Bheesma.

At least, some facts are true.

Shakuni, my favorite character:D, was from Afghanistan and Karna was the king of Bengal.

His capital is now known as Kirana and is in UP.

mai to dushaasan hi banna pasand karronga bhai jab tak maze mil sakte hain le lo baad me to sabko hi marna hai ...kyon :D

You do know how Dushasan/Shakuni/Durodhan/Karna died (the main culprits behind vastraharan)?

well who cares jab tak jinda rahe tab to aish hi kari ...marna to sabhi ko hai ek din

@IND151 Dude, have a look at their profiles. Most are 'Model & Actor'. Most of them have no prior experience in theatre. I consider theatre as the life-blood of performing arts, and the place where actors hone their skills.

Most of the actors in B R Chopra's Mahabharata were cast for their acting talent in addition to their good looks, while today's epics have men/women drafted for their good looks and from there-on, they're supposed to enact their roles. That's the big difference.

I'm sorry to say, but the nuanced actions and emotions are missing in the latest serial. Arav Chaudhary 'looks' like Bhishma, but his acting is so wooden and devoid of expression when compared to Mukesh Khanna's.

yup..! Typo error!!

Do u really want krishna to come in that scene? ;)

Disgusting

wasnt aware of this. did they play a big part in the story?

Madreshawr Shalya was brother of Madri and sided with Kaurvas.

He was fourth and last Prime General of Kaurav Army.

Rukmini belonged to Vidharbha(Now Part of Maharashtra.)

I too have watched few episodes of old Mahabharata (in late nineties).

I don't think any one else than Arav Chaudhary could have replaced Mukesh Khanna.

And New shakuni is as good as old shakuni (I have watched acting of both).

I've watched the complete series twice on the net. And I immediately feel uneasy when I see the latest series. That's how good the original was!

I remember watching the original in Asianet in kerala when I was a little kid

Why can't they choose good actors and then tell them to bulk up?

Like Hollywood?

Sorry. I thought Madra was in south India.

However I am right about Rukmini.

I guess even in your fictional stories, fairer people are superior to your darker kind.

Is that why Pandavas having allies from East and South India defeated Kaurvas who had allies from West and North India?
