It is gas refinary that collects all unused gas that used to be burnt as flair day and night for years..so basically making 1.5 billion dollars every year from something that was going to waist..not bad if u ask me.
Great news but what engine....who's engine..engine has always been the bottel neck for any iranian helo.
I also asked myself the same question.
when the prototype was presented it was stated that this is powered by two Turbomeca Arrius engines with a power of 640 hp at take-off, and the transmission was provided by an Austrian company therefore I also ask: will the series production SABA-248s have engines and transmission made abroad (import) or will they be produced in Iran?
PS:
it would be interesting to develop an ASW version of this helicopter as well, is there information on that?
