Yeah, right. Imperial Japanese navy used Aircrafts from AC's to attack pearl harbour. Luckily, none of USN's AC were in port then and escaped the attack. No AC on either side we sunk or damaged.
However USN recovered and mounted a counter-attack on Japanese empire using the AC's resulting in the battle of midway. Battle of midway was the turning point in the pacific war in WW-II wherein USN AC's fought against Japanese AC's. Japanese lost 4 AC's against 2 of US. AC's played a decisive role in the Pacific war.

dude do u heat about barak 8 ... yes its in development stage

but ready before india got its first AC

No India has absolutely no anti missile systems in our navy. Absolutely none. Well we do have some guys with bows and arrows but they aren't very effective.

I haven't asked for air defence which is in develop but if I look at it..
Then I would say at that barak II which is operational now.
It has range of 70km. But how many missiles can fire indian ships?


Does pakistan have also surface to surface? with greater range? and how many can they fire of these missiles?
If they can fire more missiles then indian ships..
Then I geuss that AC is dead.

Kolkata class destroyers have 64 Baraks

Shivaliks have 32 Baraks and 24 Russian SA-N-12

This is along with CIWS point defence weapons. Which are guns that shoot down missiles, planes etc =]
