Tata Motors and its partners Al Hamad Automobiles, have launched three new next generation heavy trucks from its Prima range, in Qatar.
The Tata Prima range started in 2008. It comes with an Italian cab design, chassis frame from Mexico and engine technology from the USA and Europe. The power train of all three vehicles embodies the latest engine technology from Cummins Inc, capable of producing an output of 380HP. The cabins have been restyled, focusing on driver comfort. The cockpit has separate driver’s working and living area. Air conditioned cabins with ample space, reclining seats with arm rests, adjustable steering system, easy access to the dashboard, great controls in all conditions along with a music system, etc are some of the highlights of this vehicle range. GPS (Global Positioning System) is a standard feature.
The models which were introduced in Qatar include the 4438 S (4X2) Tractor Head, 4038K (6X4) Construction Tipper and 4738K (8X4) on and off road tipper.

Tata Motors launches next-generation Tata PRIMA heavy trucks in Qatar
Doha, May 14, 2014: Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile manufacturer, today launched three new next-generation heavy trucks from its PRIMA range of commercial vehicles in Qatar, along with its partners, Al-Hamad Automobiles. Having been extensively tested to confirm with standards of the Gulf region in terms of power, durability, payload, emissions and safety, these next-generation world-class trucks from Tata Motors, will continue to offer the Tata Motors advantage of lowest total cost of ownership to customers.
Tata Motors conceived the Tata Prima in 2008. A combination of power, world-class performance, fuel efficiency, superior technology and safety, the Tata Prima has been built with technical inputs from across the world – an Italian cab design, engine technology from the USA and Europe, gearbox expertise from Germany, chassis frame know-how from Mexico, sheet metal dies from Japan and Korea, combined with Swedish precision on a robotic weld line, hence is also referred to as the 'World' truck.
