India's 25 yr.'s long, post-lib. auto boom contrasts sharply with the death of the Pak. auto industry. Indians are justifiably proud of their new economy. What does Pak. have to show for the same past yrs. ?

But Tata Prima is cannot work as dump truck on offroad such as mines then here comes TATA NOVUS . Its engine fit under the driver cabin unlike TATA PRIMA and its gives a run for money to VOLVO , MERCEDEZ-BENZ,SCANIA etc., because of its competitive price . Starting from ₹ 55,00,000 onwards.

I think Tata is offering the prima cab on different chassis variants like 7548 and the like...The Novus cab is not as modern as prima,but may come cheaper..they have even started offering prima cab on 8x8 military trucks!!

Tata prima is engine is also fitted behind the cab and can be tilted forward..

This is very old model, we use to call it 'D' Model truck.. I remember in 80s, My uncle had couple of this truck..

Yeah, I saw this at an exhibition in the 80's.

They had an inverted V shape, staircase type ramp up to 3 stories high and this behemoth would climb up and down for demo's.

What a sight!

Tata Prima & novus has probabaly same chasis but Tata novus engine fit under its hood unlike Prima & the main differance is in their role where TATA PRIMA is for hauling heavy loads and NOVUS is for offroading hauling such as mines and TATA NOVUS & PRIMA both is modern design.

Reason behind in success of Indian automotive industry is sacrifice of Indian leaders & people in socialist era of INDIA. In this period automotive industry protected from international automotive players & its gives a time for local players to mature their technology & strenght their foundation.
On another side Pakistanis enjoyed top end automotive products from first day of their differance.

so is a under hood design better than a tilt over cab design??how can the large engine of the tractor be place under the hood??

No, both design are good but difference in their role & in conventional design gearbox placed under hood ,in this design engine.

LOL they're not that special honestly. I've got some Leylands, a couple of mid-80s/90s Volvos from in the liveries of different city transport corporations, a few classic Mercedes vans and trucks, and a couple of others. I wish someone would replicate the Prima tractor + trailer, the TATA Marcopolo intracity bus etc. The only Indian truck model I could find online was the Ashok Leyland Avia (Euro spec model)... car models - model cars - 1/43 - ASHOK - AVIA - D-LINE 120-210 TRUCK CON CASSONE APERTO 2012
