Wooosh. My point went way over your head.well its not India but Pakistan who has to learn from its mistake and stop fooling yourself by posting such comments. and do you really think we have to learn from you in any sense?? i guess no a BIG no... ( India is not pakistan in any sense)
As far as defense deal or economic ties are concerned, it is bound to happen be it with US or Russia or French and so on..
and last i would suggest you to learn from India's achievement not by its mistake..
I would argue that the F-16 is as cheap as it can be, considering just how old and widespread its use is.IAF wont go for that .
They dont need another low end single engine fighter since we already ordered LCA .
But LM can open a factory in here to produce this best jet for much cheaper price .Cheaper than even Chinese or Russian.F 16 is a best seller .So that wont affect their image even IAF dont opt that jet.
LM won't open a factory, unless it can guarantee sales. It is already struggling to keep its current F-16 factories in operation, and was heavily lobbying to sell those jets to Pakistan, just to keep their factories in operation for a few more years.
Kill switches are nothing more than paranoia. And the most infamous KILL SWITCHES....
US never agrees on ToT, US never want their tech transfers to Russians.
PAF is continuing development of the JF-17 to get it on par with modern F-16s, which may take quite a while, but will eventually happen.so just more JF-17
if you want to ditch U.S and it's F-16s then what's next?
It is also looking at next generation options.
